22.01.2022 This is an easy way for you to check if your vehicle has been recalled with the Takata Air Bag issues. If you know your registration, simply click on the link and put it in. You may have seen it on Television, I did. I've done our vehicles, it's really easy and great for peace of mind. Share it around. https://ismyairbagsafe.com.au/

20.01.2022 Do you drive a Mazda BT-50 (UR) MY2016-2018? Please check if your vehicle is on the recall list for front brake issues. It is easy, just enter your VIN at the website below. If you are unsure, please contact Mazda Customer Support on 1800 034 411. Even if the information states that they will contact you, we advise you to contact Westco Mazda directly to ensure that your details are correct on file and that you are registered for the recall. https://www.mazda.com.au/recalls/

20.01.2022 FAQ... I see this the bottom of my service invoice. What does it mean? Brake Fluid 2% Water... Here's the need-to-know stuff. First of all, your brakes don't work without brake fluid. It's a hydraulic system. Brake pressure pushes fluid down to your brakes, pushing the pads onto the rotor. The rotors are attached to the wheel hubs, and spin as the wheel turns. More pressure causes the car to slow down. No fluid, no pressure. Brake fluid, over time, goes bad. It absorbs water from the air. Water has a much lower boiling point than brake fluid. If there is too much water and you are braking really hard, the water may boil in the lines carrying the brake fluid to the brake components. If that happens, you could "lose" your brakes the pedal might flop onto the floor, and the car won't stop. We check your brake fluid for water content at every service. When your brake fluid shows 4% water content, we recommend replacing it. That 'Brake Fluid ...% Water' comment, indicates the water content of the brake fluid in your vehicle at the time of servicing.

17.01.2022 Just a little message... We are open. At this stage, it is business as usual for us. We will stay open unless the authorities advise otherwise. We are taking the necessary precautions to take care of our family and our customers. Stay strong in these, sometimes, trying times. Check in with your family, friends and neighbours and, most of all, be kind to each other.

17.01.2022 Clean Cabin Filter vs Dirty Cabin Filter! Cabin Filters often live in the shade of their more popular cousins - the air, oil and fuel filters. Their primary purpose is to prevent dust, pollen, smog and mould spores from entering your vehicle's cabin. The filters can also catch rodent droppings, leaves and other unwanted debris. Besides improving air quality inside your vehicle, replacing the cabin filter may also prevent expensive repairs to your air conditioning system. We visually inspect every cabin filter as part of our service process and treat them with an Environmental Air Solutions liquid spray that is 100% natural, kills mould, bacteria and fungi.

17.01.2022 Starting tomorrow, changes have been made to the rules for 4WD Lift modifications in Qld. These changes will bring Queensland into line with National Standards. You can read more about it here... https://www.qld.gov.au//vehicle-lift-standards-maintain-sa

14.01.2022 Phone working again...fingers crossed...amazing how fast an issue can be corrected when you speak to people who actually know what they're doing.

13.01.2022 Attention Toyota Owners. There is a new recall out on certain Toyota vehicles, regarding fuel pump issues. It is stated that the affected owners will be contacted by Toyota directly. If you are unsure, you can check the VIN lists on this website or contact your local Toyota dealer. You will need your registration or VIN details. https://www.productsafety.gov.au//toyota-motor-corporation

12.01.2022 We will remember them

10.01.2022 The oil filter on the left is after 10,000km, the one on the right is after 40,000km. This is a great visual of why it is recommended to get your vehicle serviced every 10,000kms or 6 months. If the oil filter looks this bad...just imagine what the internals of the engine look like. Symptoms include excessive fuel consumption, noisy engine and overheating. Check if your vehicle is due for a service...don't put it off.

10.01.2022 People may have noticed that the recall on Takata Alpha airbags still continues and has cropped up in the news again. Reports say that more vehicles have been flagged and there are more to come in April 2018. We recommend checking the ACCC website for makes/models that are affected and, if you suspect your vehicle is among them, please contact the appropriate dealership. You will need your vehicle registration number so that they can look up the VIN. https://www.productsafety.gov.au//about-the-compulsory-tak

09.01.2022 On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month... We will remember you.

08.01.2022 As part of our booking process, we check all vehicle registrations to make sure they are current. Lately, we have found that some registrations have expired and the owners have been completely unaware that they have been driving around unregistered. Very easy to do now that we don't have the stickers to remind us! Please find following the link to the Queensland Transport website, where you are able to check your registration whenever you like. https://www.service.transport.qld.gov.au//VehicleSearch.xh
