25.01.2022 Snippety watercolour paintings and prints will be available to buy on Saturday <3

24.01.2022 My brain hurts! Petioles, inflorescence, dehiscent, drupes & apices. It’s a whole new world studying horticulture. Since I graduated homeschooling last year, I’ve meandered around with what to move forward into. I started Cert 3 at Tafe just when I needed some focus & structure in July. I’ve been on prac in the gardening world for 30 years. Now I’m getting my teeth into the theory and it’s all interesting. My agronomist hubby & I have some romantic conversations about weeds..., calibration, nozzles, pumps & foot valves Keen to put things into place from the ground up in a new garden design here to show you can combine beautiful + robust when it’s dry. You don’t need to actually ‘reinvent’ yourself. Sometimes it’s just the right time to continue to deepen and broaden your foundation. Step into a new season! It’s never too late to learn! #reinventyourself #flowerfarmer #tafestudent See more

14.01.2022 They say blue is a calming colour. A little flowery therapy for my own heart this morning as I took a deep breath, slowed right down and made time to create this pretty snippety gift for a friend who just became a grandmother...to a precious baby boy. Bluebells, freesias, sprigs from a single May bush, which is quite different to regular May, a little cheery turnip weed or two and some nigella with QA Lace and photinia buds. I hope it cheers your heart too

08.01.2022 Travel sketching Have you always wanted to capture your memories in quick little sketches while you travel ? The trick is making time to jot down what you notice as you go. While you wait to be able to go overseas, why not make the most of an opportunity to start learning how? Brisbane artist, Dianne Kelly has taken art tours through Europe and her students have wonderful sketchbooks full of little vignettes that bring back treasured memories. Come and explore the backroads... of Ravensbourne and learn the art of sketching outside in the fresh air. Di has a knack of helping you narrow down your vision so you dont feel overwhelmed trying to draw everything at once. We have organised a wonderful day to wander and then enjoy lunch in the garden. All materials supplied, including a special sketchbook to continue on your journey. Let us know if you are interested in this specific workshop, planned for Saturday, October 31. See more

04.01.2022 Flowers don't have to be complicated. A big white jug and some beautiful branches with some lovely additions from my blossoming little flower farm patch <3 I love this shady tree in our garden, growing into something majestic and pretty. It's an honor to supply Emeraude with fresh, local, seasonal flowers each week when I can. Thank you for your kindness and gracious encouragement Amanda. I appreciate your support so much as I find my feet in this new season.

04.01.2022 Shout out to a local business https://www.facebook.com/PhotoProToowoomba/ who goes the extra mile with attention to detail and an eye for colour. Kerwin at Phot...opro in Toowoomba has been such an encouragement as I navigate this creative journey as an artist. Kerwin does the most beautiful work with fine art prints from my original watercolour paintings. I am thrilled to bits that he’s displaying a large framed giclee print of my ‘Creamy Magnolia’ in store! There’s a mind boggling lot of options for digital prints online. Who knows what the quality is like? I like talking it over with a real person. A local person I can call in to see and show my work to and discuss possibilities with. Kerwin is an expert who really understands the process. Highly recommend his business And if you’re interested in a print of the beautiful magnolia, let me know and we’ll organise it See more
