24.01.2022 Planning a wedding in 2020 has been the most frustrating time ever and although it’s almost over our situation can change in a heart beat. So I wanted to give you some info upfront on what happens if your wedding date has to change, because of Covid-19 or some other circumstance. First things first... To book with me I ask for a 30% non refundable payment along with a signed contract. If you have reschedule your wedding date 1. I'll do my absolute best to accommodate the new date. A new quote and contract will be drawn up for the new date. Why a new quote? If the new date is in the led up to a peak holiday like Valentine's Day, flower prices jump considerable, so a new quote will be put together. 2. If I'm unavailable on your new date the 30% initial payment at booking remains non refundable but fully transferable to your new date. Why is this payment non refundable? I only take on a limited number of weddings per year. I cannot rebook your wedding date. It's payment for any work I've done up to the cancelled booking. Funny how this translates many years later in my floristry career. You’ve got to trust and enjoy the relationship you have with your florist or any of your suppliers, if you have that then the magic will follow! ... I will never try and convince you to book me if it doesn’t feel right. If you don’t want to book because of cost or design, then those are things we can talk about until we find a place that’s a balance of both. To be comfortable in booking me as your floral stylist you need to love and find beauty in my designs as well as feel comfortable with my price points. But if it’s simply that you don’t feel like it’s the right fit then I won’t try and change your mind. For us form a floral relationship then it has to feel comfortable, it should feel easy & the thought of working with me shouldn’t cause you even the tiniest of niggles. And if it does then it is totally the right decision for you to work with someone else. I have and will always turn down couples that I don’t think I’m the right florist for, I’d only being them a disservice by booking them. 06.01.2022 Ranunculus, the star of spring, well I think so anyway! The petal count is enormous but what I love most is the blending of colours on the petals. This one is polar white blending beautifully through to a fresh green centre.... Perfection! Spring flowers often have a short vase life, but Ranunculus can last up to 10 days and each day changes colour a little the more it opens up. In a bunch of 5 stems every stem is subtly different in size along with the tint and tones of colour. In bouquets I reckon they are best shown off floating above other flowers.
