24.01.2022 We capped off an incredible year with an incredible Christmas Carnival. A picture-perfect afternoon was met with plenty of young vibrant swimmers wanting to give it a go and compete for our age championships. The day was filled with fun and excitement from our first timers racing the 25m events to the big Christmas Raffle being drawn with several of those in attendance walking away with prizes bigger than the kid’s trophies, we even had one of our senior swimmers forget what ...stroke were swimming only to spend an unfortunate amount of time laughing with the crowd! There is a long list of thanks that must be relayed that made this event and afternoon run so smoothly, with an electric atmosphere and one of the most enjoyable times of the year. The club volunteers behind the BBQ and Sweets Thank you for an impressive feed. Adele, Stacey, Laura and Emma who were the core of the event Thank you for creating the championship feel and for organisng everyone Terii and the timekeepers - Thank you for taking the time out of the night to help the kids set benchmarks for future swims Kimberley Moore Thank you for the awesome photography, capturing the best memories a swimmer can have. The excitement is now building towards 2021 and what we can achieve! Browse, like and tag away! (PART 1)

21.01.2022 Its been a big week for the club and program with school districts and @sunshinecoastgrammarswimming Prep Meet. We had Two overall age champions on Districts day, Hazel Rahui and @beau.pattison with two 2nd overall as well in Jake Bauer and Amelia Rahui. 12 progressed to regionals in just under a fortnight. The most the programs had in quite some time. We also had podium swims yesterday by Victor, Charley and Beau to round it out! Well done to all involved.

19.01.2022 Weekend Wrap: Joshy had an excellent Sunday at @belgraviaswimteam Swim Meet taking 1 and 3 with 3 PBs out of 4 events and a WB qualifying time in both 100 back and 200 free. Our surf brigade travelled across the bridge to @black.swanacademy Surf Carnival for the weekend. ... Some solid results with a lot of improvements to be made which is great! Shout out to the U/11 cameron relay who came away with , Hazel finding herself on the podium, several top 5's and each athlete finalling in at least 2 of the 3 surf events! Even coach got in on the act with an easy 30k jog to watch the team compete

19.01.2022 Much of how we see ourselves is based on how we face our fears and overcome our adversities. Today our Next Gen and a sprinkle of Seniors tackled their first headland swim, passing the break, getting out and pushing around Coolum Headland to 1st Bay. They took their time, kept their composure and all made it. Most wanting to return if not for an invited guest. The conditions were less than ideal, but there was no complaining, no negative words spoken. A big thank you to the Surf Club who provided the water safety as well as the parents that got involved in and around the swim. Here's to a big success and to hopefully a bigger turn out during our next trip around the bay.

18.01.2022 We're nearing the end of the year but we still take the time to celebrate another club birthday. Sweet 16 for our Club Captain @beau.pattison and whilst we should be down at QLD LC, you deal the cards your dealt and we improvise and adapt. Thank you to Laura and the kids for knocking out a solid cake design with plenty of colour and sides of cream. Just because. Some of the Silver and Gold squad members took part in suited time trials across Tuesday and Thursday to give Bea...u a challenge and we responded with some remarkable performances. Lee B - 20sec PB 400FR Michael A - 14sec And PB 400FR Robert A - 13sec PB 400FR Jake B - first time 400FR picked up 200FR pb along the way (4sec) Amelia R - 4sec PB 100fr PB 200IM Hazel R - 4sec PB 100fr PB 200IM Taylah T - 3sec PB 100fr after goggle loss Locki R - first time 200bk picked up 100pb along the way. 15.01.2022 Competition, Enjoyment and Improvement.. We had it all yesterday during Kawana Waters Swimming Club Inc. Prep Meet. Thank you to to the organisers, to our age managers and to coach @jackhawke91 for delivering another quality day for our swimmers. Notable performances by our new swimmers who each took off solid chunks off last week's times (what a difference one week and some race experience can do). Also another notable performance by young whippet Mason who managed to take down several hundred hot chips after being pelted by our entire junior group (photo 2 and 3) Photo credit to the managers and coaching staff

10.01.2022 A huge Goodluck to swimmers Beau "The Propellor" Pattison and Josh "Peaty" O'Neill who will both be competing at State Short Course over the next three days. One last short course meet to round out September let's make it a big one

10.01.2022 A super fun day at @swimfitcottontree @ctcyclonesswim Prep Meet. With a dozen new swimmers, we dove into the junior session with high energy and were rewarded with some excellent results. Our junior leaders in Hazel and Taylah sharing the spoils in the 10 yrs age group in each of the four raced events. The seniors had to meet some lofty standards set by the juniors in the AM and performed well enough to earn over 20 top 3 placings in age events as well as a 80% success rate f...or PBs for the experienced gang. Two highlights spring to mind, Lee Bauer's negative split 400 free debut and Rob Andronicos attempt to Tik Tok @lanipallister only to have her duck for cover thinking he was throwing something at her . Here's to another tough week of training leading into another weekend of racing @kawanawatersswimclub @kawana.aquatic.centre before the State SC taper See more

09.01.2022 Great resumption to competition for Coolum Peregian. Senior Leader Locki Rahui had two third placings (50 Free/Fly) and four PB Swims out of four. Amelia Rahui placed third in the 50 free and surpassed her older brothers mark at the same age as well as setting six PB Swims out of six.... Joshua O'Neill placed 4th in 3 events and had five from five PBing. One of these awesome performances rewarded him with a minute and twelve second PB. And finally our youngest Taylah who enjoyed her first medal performance in the 200 free and three top five placings. Did we mention she also had 5 from 5 in the PB count too. Yes that made every swim today a PB swim. The smallest being 1.95 seconds. A few doors opened at states and only bigger things to come with our lovely new members joining us over the next few events! Thank you to Albany Creek Swim Club who put on a great meet and set the standard for the new norm! Swimming Queensland

09.01.2022 2020 Xmas Carnival families!

Keep an eye out later this week for the full prize reveal, there’s lots to be won!

08.01.2022 Fantastic effort by Coolum Darts swimmer Beau Pattison who has completed his stint at State Champs this week with another PB. Beau has only had a short period of training before deciding to compete again and since making the decision has improved each time he has jumped in the water. Some include more than a 10 second drop (200 back in October swam a 2:40) With this continued progression, big things will happen so to Beau, congratulations on your time at state and enjoy your well earned break over Christmas!

08.01.2022 Bay to Beach Swim Thank you to Jess Coolum Beach Surf Woman of the Year for organising such a great community event and to Coolum Surf Club for all the fantastic volunteers. The swimmers were greeted to great weather and good conditions, a great initiation for the newbie ocean swimmer. We would love to give a big shout out to Terii R, Michael A and Emma R who all took to the ocean as water safety. Isaac Ruscoe and Coach Nic came 4th/5th out of the water and to Amelia Rahui w...ho was the youngest competitor and 3rd female overall. Ross B gave her good company the whole time to be pipped on the run in! But our biggest congratulations goes to Daniel and Lisa Andronico who both completed their first ocean swim! Their consistent training and hard work payed off Jess you're a gem, this was a smoothly run event and hope to see more of these in the future! Photos by Kimberley Moore #baytobeachswim

08.01.2022 This should be fun! #selfmarshalling #miamiswimmeet #goldcoast #thisweekend

08.01.2022 What a great read. Programs with a great culture, create a positive learning environment and a nurture great relationships between coach and athlete can always succeed. No need for the glitz and glamour. Just hard work and great attitude.

07.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Queensland Government has informed State Sporting Organisations that organised sporting activity is not to resume until Stage 2 of the Roa...dmap to easing Queensland's restrictions, i.e. 12 June, and that it will issue further guidelines clarifying Stage 1 restrictions shortly. As soon as these guidelines are received we will share them. Outside of organised sporting activity, the restrictions in place from 11:59pm, 15 May 2020 are outlined in the Queensland Government infographic.

07.01.2022 What an awesome showing from our CP Darts through two long and action packed days of competition at the Speedo State Prep Meet in Brisbane. Thank you to every family that worked with the new guidelines and atmosphere of the meet without fuss and to each parent that contributed to making this weekend one of the best weekends for the club across such a long meet. 36/38 swims were PB's 10 - Top 10 placings 3 - Top 5 placings... 8 - State Qualifying times Our top three performances: Beau P - After a 1.04/2.24 100/200BK he didn't only break the 60 second 100FR barrier, he smashed it with a 58.9 and a near on perfect split and finished his meet with a 26.67 50FR. Josh O - Took 8 seconds off his 200IM from two weeks prior to place in the top 10 and solidify a perfect 7 from 7 in PBs. Taylah T - Our top performer of the weekend leaving the best race until last, having never been under 40 for 50FR pre-covid, the energizer bunny decided she would take near 6 seconds off her last time notching a 33.98. We would also like to pass on our congratulations to former Club Captain Charley S who broke 30 for the 50FR. We now work towards State SC with all of our new members joining us to race at Cotton Tree and Kawana along the way, how exciting!!!

06.01.2022 Christmas Eve around the coast for our swimmers today - some of the crew travelled down to Janelle's bootcamp, amazing to see 125 people getting active and doing things differently. We then had two of our seniors in Isaac R and Oli S swim a set for Christmas Eve 100*100s Thank you to Greg W and Andy S for inviting the boys down and organising it and hopefully they pushed the pace too.... Not long before our juniors are asking to do it and enjoying the same pain that the boys will no doubt be in too.

06.01.2022 Gympie Gold Rush - The entire club had this one marked in their calendar and it delivered. From endless PBS, to first time medalists and even two records being broken. Thank you to our age managers and coaching staff for their roles as well as @gympiegoldfins for such a well organized event. Special mentions: Summer W - for being a spectacular new addition to the club. Ellie H - For earning her first medal as a competitive swimmer, with 2nd in the 8 years 50 free.... Hazel R - For earning 4 medals from 5 events, and being only a whisker away from winning age champ. Sophia P - For sinking 7 PB’s/8. Beau P - For 2 1st places, two other medals and for breaking two pool records in the 50 and 100 Back. Next stop @nambour_swim_club and @swimming_queensland prep meets!

03.01.2022 Update for Events: Swimming Queensland has decided to postpone the Queensland SC Preparation Meet and SC Championships. At this time, it is not known when the ...Queensland Government will increase the maximum number of people permitted to gather from the limit of 100 due to be implemented in Stage 3, effective from 10 July. Once this is known, SQ will be able to set dates and inform clubs and members. https://qld.swimming.org.au//important-update-re-covid-19- See more

03.01.2022 Meet Nadia.. One of the many Armstrong girls that have walked through our gates at Coolum!

03.01.2022 A big good luck to local Pro Triathlete Amelia Watkinson who tackles triathlon's biggest prize purse of 2020 and perhaps longer. Amelia's lead up has been relentless having notched up several wins across year including most recently at Hervey Bay 100 and Ironman Cairns! Best of mechanical luck and wishing you all the best!

02.01.2022 Happy Twelfth birthday to Coolum's very own Adam Peaty, Josh O'Neill! Double the presents didn't they say?

02.01.2022 How good is it to see our youngest swimmer rewarded for her hard work in the pool the past few months? Ellie H had been 4th several times over the past few meets but unleashed a mega PB @ Gympie in the 50 Free to place 2nd in the 8 years category. Unfortunately as a sign of the times, medals were not awarded to clubs/swimmers until the end of the meet so Ellie waited patiently and received her medal today! ... Can't wipe the smile off her face! More medals to come!

02.01.2022 Proud of our young achievers!
