18.01.2022 HUB UPDATE! Following feedback from last week hubs have been altered to help with smooth transitions between timeslots and safety around cars. There are bathrooms and bubblers in each hub - you do not need to cross hubs for these reasons. Hub C bathrooms in the creative space, Hub B in the grandstand and Hub A in Curl Curl Youth Club. ... Until the last time slot has cleared you will need to wait in your hubs designated meeting point. You should arrive at the court no more than 15 minutes prior to your game - if you are early you will need to wait in the meeting point. Keep your time at the courts to a minimum by going to the bathroom before leaving home and not having team talks at the end of the game but later on social media or a secondary location. A team is only allowed their coach and manager present. Junior teams may also have 2 other spectators as an absolute maximum number of people present. Please help us ensure the successful continuation of the netball season by following all COVID-19 Protocols.

15.01.2022 Below is a message received from the De Kort family on the success of "Crazy Hair and Sock Day" 2020. Thank you to everyone who came dressed in crazy hair and s...ocks and contributed to our fundraiser. Paul, Jake and I would like to thank the Collaroy Plateau Netball Club and the Manly Warringah Netball Association for embracing and hosting Crazy Hair and Socks Day last Saturday. We were humbled and grateful for the incredible love, support and generosity shown by so many players and supporters from the Collaroy Club and right across the association. Many thanks to you as well Lisa, for being so lovely and helpful in organising the day. The final total of donations was $2,610.75. The Kids’ Cancer Project is thrilled by the result, and grateful for the funds, that will be used to support Childhood Cancer research projects. Our family felt so uplifted after Saturday. It was so nice spending the day at the courts, meeting and catching up with so many lovely people. It was just so special to see that Alana’s memory is alive within the Netball Community, I am sure that she was smiling on Saturday. I wish Collaroy and MWNA good luck for the rest of the season, and hope that next season will see a return to normal for you all. 15.01.2022 This Saturday (12th September) MWNA will be raising money for the Kids Cancer Project. This years crazy hair and sock day is in special memory of Alana de Kort who passed away from cancer at 15. Because of this we would like our members to have an emphasis on pineapple and turquoise - some of Alanas favourite things. Please bring a gold coin donation; also available for purchase will be pineapple bracelets and blue bottle car stickers.

13.01.2022 Our final round of the 2020 Winter Season is being played this Saturday. Below are a few points around the day. This is not a Grand final round Winner of th...e division will be decided on the team that has the most points after round 10. Joint point placings will be decided on For and Against. Spectator and COVID Safety Plan still remains in place and WILL be enforced. Ie 2 spectators per team + Coach + Manager/Scorer No medals will be handed out on Saturday for any grade or division (including NSG). They will be collected by the Clubs at the end of the day or handed out at the Monday night’s Council meeting All teams to adhere to the No presentation, end of season get together ruling unless we hear otherwise from Netball NSW or Office of Health. Arrive, Play and Leave will still apply. Thank you to all our coaches, managers, mentors, umpires, spectators, parents and all volunteers for helping us create the 2020 winter competition under the Covid environment. #mwna2020

11.01.2022 I am SO PROUD of my 15A girls today winning the netball season with a straight 10wins/10 games, it was a tough season but you played your hearts out each week n...ot only to win it but win it undefeated for 2020 season. Congratulations to each of you, you all have truly made me so proud every week when you take the court playing as a team, your passion and your grace on the court is beautiful to watch... champions for the second year in a row. 05.01.2022 We have received several requests especially from new coaches on how to put a training session together. With most teams still only training for an hour our Coa...ches Development Coordinator Deb has put a sample session together to share with you all. It can be easily increased to 90 minutes if required. Don't forget that warm down is just as important as warm up to help prevent injuries. We have many more coaching tips available under the coaches tab on our website. #mwna2020
