24.01.2022 From a friend who is a police officer I would like to take this opportunity to alert my friends on Facebook to please be aware of some of the Facebook posts you comment on especially now while the world seems to be at a standstill. These posts ask questions such as, "What was your favorite teachers name? Who was your 1st grade teacher? Who was your childhood best friend? What was your first car?" etc. Do these questions sound familiar? They should. These are the same questio...ns you are asked as security questions when setting up bank accounts and credit card accounts. When answering these questions and posting them, you are giving out answers to your security questions that you may be using without realizing it. Hackers are setting these up as a "get to know each other better" game on Facebook. This is why I jokingly asked about your 2500th picture, as some of you may or may not know, your pictures may have geolocation turned on so people will know exactly where you took that picture. They can then build a profile of you and use this information to hack your accounts or open up new lines of credit in your name. Not all of these on Facebook are scams. However, it is best to remain vigilant and refrain from participating in such activities as there is no way to tell which ones may have been created by scammers. Some of you dont like participating in chain messages but this may be one in disguise. Also make sure to check your photos published to Facebook as they too can have identifiable information. An example would be a picture of your college degree or your kids degree. Look at it from the perspective of a criminal, theyre ruthless and dont care whats going on in the world. They are Conmen targeting the vulnerable by asking for money for call-blocking services. In Australia there is a FREE service to block Australian based Nuisance Calls. Goto https://www.donotcall.gov.au/ to find out more. There is no way to block international nuisance calls. Except to not answer your phone.

They do not want to damage or dismantle it to remove it from the basement, as it is a genuine original 1960s BBC made Dalek.

05.01.2022 Seen a spate of these in the last few days. "Laptop will NOT turn on" Solution for "Laptop will not wake up".... 1) Remove Battery, 2) Remove power cable, 3) Press and hold on/off button for 60 seconds, 4) Insert power cable but not battery,, ensure power cable is plugged in and turned on at the wall. 5) Turn on laptop. It should now turn on. 6) Turn off laptop and reinsert battery. Non Recovery from sleep mode is a common fault/problem with ALL laptops and the above is the best fix.

04.01.2022 Do you have Apple QuickTime installed on your Windows PC? Its time to remove it. There are known flaws that can be exploited relatively easily, and Apple has c...onfirmed that it is no longer supporting the software. The US-CERT, part of the Department of Homeland Security, recently issued a public statement urging anyone using QuickTime for Windows to uninstall the product immediately due to Apple ceasing development and therefore no longer issuing security updates.
