22.01.2022 Reminiscing on my first ever GOLD award at the Australian Professional Photography Awards after it popped up in my memories.

19.01.2022 I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our first shoot back after Covid, than to get up at 4:30am to shoot the sun rising in the most spectacular way on this gorgeous belly! Kristi Parison and Luke wanted a secluded beach shoot, so in order to avoid onlookers and catch this amazing light we all braved a very chilly winter morning and began the shoot in near darkness in one of the prettiest spots in the Burdekin. That water was freezing, but oh so worth it. Stay tuned for their equally amazing newborn photos we captured last week!

19.01.2022 I recently shot some commercial work for Burdekin Christian College. You will notice some photos being rolled out showcasing their great school and facilities on their social media platforms. It was great to meet staff and students while working and everyone was so welcoming.

17.01.2022 Mums and Dads...Who had a baby that suffered from breakouts/ baby acne and milk pimples? Show us your photos of baby breakouts! I know my daughter had horrendous inflamed skin for months as a newborn. It’s so common and just our luck we hear all the time how babies will break out a day before their photo session and clear up after. Parents come in to the studio feeling deflated that their babies blemishes will be photographed. For this reason we do our best to remove temporary blemishes by retouching, since they are not a permanent feature of the face, allowing the babies features to be the focus of their portraits.

02.01.2022 How many of you still have photos on USB but haven’t printed them yet? I’m guilty too! I just took the opportunity to add my own prints of my daughter as a baby and her great grandmas into the job queue for printing and framing today. (Only took me 9 years to do my own!) When we lose the ones we love, one of the first things we do, is look for photos of our loved ones, and more often than not, most of us struggle to find good recent printable high quality photos. If you too let time pass, and put off these jobs for a rainy day, go and do it this week and enjoy your photos now. Print your photos, book a photo session and celebrate your family and loved ones.
