19.01.2022 THANK YOU PARENTS - YOU ARE THE REAL MVP’s How cool is therapy looking these days?! G did such an awesome job with her speech and phonics work this morning . ... I have now been able to successfully connect with many of you over ZOOM Even though technology is a glorious thing...I wanted to share some tips that we’ve had to troubleshoot. Please make sure: Your camera is well positioned so that I can see your child’s whole face The volume is turned UP!!! If you’re using an IPad - some cases are hindering the volume. These may need to be removed for the session. If your child is under 6 years - I may require you to sit with/near them to be able to help with accessing certain program features e.g. drawing tool. We also have a new session timetable for the time being. Sessions are not running at their usual days/times. All parents will have received information via email. If you’re still wanting your child to go online - please get in touch. Steph

19.01.2022 Happy Holidays! I will be in the office today finalising programs and reports from Term 3. Please get in contact if you have any pressing needs. No sessions week 2 of school holidays. ... No sessions Monday 5th October. Speech will resume Tuesday 6th October. There will be a surprise for Clermont clients, Term 4 stay tuned . Steph @kasey.rainbow

14.01.2022 UPDATES FOR NDIS CLIENTS Plan reviews If a participant has a scheduled plan review, the NDIA will contact them by phone or email to undertake their review.... As part of this plan review process, a participant can discuss having a new plan in place for up to 24 months. In addition, the NDIA will be making changes to NDIS systems over the weekend to make sure participants have the funding they need during the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure participant plans don’t end, on the day a plan is due to expire, it will be automatically be extended by 365 days. Participants who have plans that expires soon, do not need to do anything to have their plans automatically extended by 365 days. Cancellations Effective 25 March 2020, participants will be required to give 10 business days’ notice for a cancellation if they want to avoid paying the full fee for a cancelled service. Previously, participants were required to give two business days’ notice. From 30 March, providers will also be able to claim 100 per cent of the agreed support price when a participant cancels a service at short notice (up from 90 per cent).

11.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE RE: SERVICES With the current COVID-19 situation still unfolding. In the next week I will be taking steps to start transitioning the majority of clients to an online therapy platform. This will ensure the safety of you and your families while we continue to achieve our intervention goals! I am very confident in the delivery of therapy via Telehealth - it is backed by a substantial amount of research and evidence, that I am happy to provide to parent...s. This new therapy model will allow me to make sure that speech pathology services remain readily available to our community during this time, and most importantly once we get on the other side of this. Together we can make this our new normal! I look forward to seeing some bright and smiling faces on my computer screen More information will be emailed to all families this week. Please be in touch with any questions or concerns. Thank you all for your continued support. Take care. Steph.
