07.01.2022 Last night Cracked Actors Theatre's (CAT'S) presentation of 7th Floor Theatre's 'Where's My Money' became the first theatre to open post lockdown. It was beautiful to witness performing artists returning to the stage and to work. With 900 Victorians dead, dreams destroyed and catastrophic consequences for the mental well being, particularly of artists, in our city. Last night we worked in with the lost, bereaved and afflicted in our hearts and minds. We want to see all of yo...u back at work soon. At the CAT we believe that #ArtisWork and as our Company Manager Sarah Yeung said, "These artists have a right to work" To Alexander Lloyd, Laurence Young, Hayden Burke, David Silvester, Claire Duncan, Clare Hayes, Catherine Ward & Heather Bloom, congratulations on a wonderful opening night and on 7th Floor Theatre being the first company to come through the CAT's Artist Production Program (APP) and to step back onto the boards! Here's what The Age's Cameron Woodhead had to say! Live theatre has returned to Melbourne - and it's such a relief (theage.com.au) #crackedactorstheatre #7thfloortheatre #melbournetheatre #linitedseating See more

05.01.2022 Cracked Actors Theatre cannot wait to finally welcome Clarè Hayes to the CAT for 7th Floor Theatre's production of 'Where's My Money' (bookings at www.trybooking.com/eventlist/cat). Clare has trained at Atlantic Acting School in New York City, where she developed a love for Broadway and bagels! She has appeared in film, TV and stage, challenging herself in dramatic and comedic roles. Recently, she played the lead role of Blanche DuBois in 'A Streetcar Named Desire'. Highlights from her stage career include; 'Love/Sick, Mr. Bailey's Minder', 'The Glass Menagerie' and La Mama Theatre's Explorations. Clare is thrilled to be back on stage, with an 'exquisite' cast and crew. We are even more thrilled as we have been wanting to have Clarè perform at the CAT for ages! Welcome to Cracked Actors!

This is your last chance in Melbourne 2020 to see CAT's presentation of 7th Floor Theatre's production of "Where's My Money?" featuring the wonderfully talented Heather Bloom (bookings at trybooking.com/eventlist/cat). Her list of credits includes A Comedy of Errors - Australian Shakespeare Company, Neighbours, Melbourne Fringe and Prague Fringe Festival, as well as being a featured actor in nationally screening TVCs. 02.01.2022 SOME THEATRE GOSSIP - I know it’s an odd time for ‘gossip’ but here goes. The good folk at Cracked Actors Theatre did well in getting a Vic government grant ...for their ‘Script Development Program.’ My play ‘Billy Loves Cha Cha Forever’ is part of it, and l’m working with Cracked Actors to see ‘BLCCF’ on stage in 2021. There’s million questions running through my mind, like how ‘do you block a Covid safe play? (does that mean all kissing, hugging...and fornicating is out?). Just how tricky will this be? My point is, keep Midsumma Festival free for Billy Loves Cha Cha Forever. Congrats also to the other plays under the program - Melka Stanseh’s Dancing With Eva, Donna Spillane’s Blowing the Whistle, James W.F. Roberts Dull Blade and Dylan Glatz’s Diodati. Nichelle Claire’s Sticky Beak at Peaking Duck has commenced pre- production for Melbourne Fringe as has Megan J. Riedl’s The Leak. See more

01.01.2022 An unsung heroine of modern history, Geli Raubal was Adolf Hitler’s one true love. A girl who believed that love and love alone was strong enough to turn the ev...ilest of men. Enzo Condello’s masterful depiction of the events surrounding this tempestuous affair will have you riveted from the moment the play begins and have you wondering whether the course of history could have truly been altered.
