09.01.2022 We are incredibly disappointed to announce that our highly anticipated Red Hill market that was due to proceed this Saturday 7th Nov is now cancelled. This evening (4/11), it was communicated to our parking partners at the Red Hill Lions Club that the private paddock used as the main car park will not be available due to the mixed messaging the owners had received last minute from different authorities and expert bodies regarding Covid-safety. We absolutely respect this decis...ion and understand the current situation is ever-changing and adjustments must be made accordingly. In addition to this our other two car parks run by the National Trust and the Uniting Church were also due to be closed due to Covid-19 density regulations. With the late announcement of the paddock closure, we would lose over two-thirds of our parking capacity. Craft Markets Australia is committed to ensuring the safest environment for stallholders, patrons, pedestrians and volunteers whether it is regarding Covid transmission risks or in this case, road blocks and traffic management. We could not risk vehicles blocking public access roads and creating potential hazards for residents and emergency services to pass through. One of the greatest achievements of the Red Hill market is its incredible popularity that has spanned over 40 years. With this in mind, we have made the gut-wrenching decision to cancel this November market and work to come back bigger and better in December at full capacity. We apologise sincerely for any inconvenience caused, and although this is a big disappointment for all of us here at CMA, we know it is the right decision. We hope to see you at our Mornington Racecourse market this Sunday! CMA Team x

Due to the updated State events protocol and complications with the permit approval system, we have made the call in conjunction with the venue to cancel this upcoming market. This children's book, written in delightful rhyme by Victorian Jo Rothwell, has just been launched with profits going to paediatric brain cancer research. Profits will be going to RCD Foundation and Peace of Mind Foundation. RCD Foundation contributes funds to Australia and International brain cancer research to enable researche...rs to further understand and more completely treat brain tumours. Brain cancer is the most fatal of all childhood cancers. Current clinical treatments only help 50% of children, but leave 90% with lifelong physical and mental impairments.
