25.01.2022 Maintenance works at one of Tasmania’s most distinctive heritage landmarks, The Shot Tower, have been completed to ensure the historic site can be explored for ...generations to come. The roof was replaced with additional work undertaken on the pedestrian entry bridge. External heritage features such as windows and fascia boards were also repainted. The Shot Tower, the first built in Australia in the 1800s, demonstrates a high degree of technical skill and achievement, both as a structure in its own right and as a structure specifically created for the craft of shot making.
