24.01.2022 This old and tired playground is about to be replaced with a new vibrant facility closer to the trees. Hopefully this will be as popular as the Ford Park playground.

21.01.2022 Ford Park at sunset The brand-new playground Soon to be a new teenage section. Yes the old pavilion has gone. It was old and built to far from the northern oval and did not service the southern oval at all. ... Unfortunately rubbish was always being dumped behind it, facing Davidson Street. The new pavilion is being built between the ovals. A larger carpark is replacing the old pavilion site. The new pavilion and making the southern oval bigger has meant the removal of trees. Unfortunately with Covid restrictions consolation has not been as open as I would have liked and Council had committed too. I apologise for this. Any tree removal must be open and a permit sought. Council must adhere to what it expects of its residents. I’d like to thank the locals who intervened with the NE link authority and the Council Officers to save one established tree. Well done.
