25.01.2022 The best heartfelt support we have ever seen. Not one of his little friends laughed.

18.01.2022 Hello Everyone, With the announcements made Sunday 18th October, things are starting to look up. As a first step, we are proposing some face to face classes in an open park on Saturday mornings, starting from Saturday 7th November (weather dependent of course).... Classes will need to be kept to no more than 10 students at a time, and we will need to register students attendance. Zoom classes will continue on Monday and Thursdays for the time being, and likely that Saturday will be broadcast too. Further information to come, when we have an indication of interest. Please let your Sensei know by Friday 30th October if you would like to attend, so that we can make preparations with further announcements to come.

13.01.2022 Don't train to your limits. Karate teaches us to train past our limits to "go beyond" our mental and physical capabilities and become stronger as people. When you next participate in a karate class or train at home, push yourself to go further, push past your comfort zone. You will find that your body can go through a lot more than what you think you can. ... As the world's toughest man David Goggins once said "When your mind is telling you that you're done, that you're exhausted, that you cannot possibly go any further, you're actually only 40% done". So when you're on your 50th push up, your 50th kick, your 50th punch, don't say "I can't do anymore", say "Come on, let's do 3 more". Because you don't want to stop and say to yourself afterwards "I could have done more".

02.01.2022 Not really sure anymore of whats worse, the virus or the lock-down? I used to train under a Martial Arts Sensei who would say ''what doesn't kill you makes you stronger....or seriously maims you" I cant tell you why, but whenever he said that, I found it funny and would invariably smile...which would always attract a withering look from him.... Mind you this same Sensei would also say ''Pain is just weakness leaving the body'', this comment normally came up towards the end of a particularly brutal 2 hour session.......dont remember smiling at that one! Hopefully this time will soon pass as everything does pass in the end. Possibly one of the outcomes from it is that we are all that little bit stronger and maybe a little more appreciative of what we have. Have a good weekend everyone and be kind to one another. Zoom class at 9am tomorrow, jump in with the kids...its free and its a lo of fun....just do it you'll love it! Karate is seriously the most fun you will ever have in your pyjamas! Osu.

01.01.2022 Miyamoto Musashi, was a warrior and arguably the greatest Japanese swordsman of all time. He was also a thinker, and a philosopher and these words from his famous book "the book of 5 rings'', are as relevant today as they were when he spoke them 500 years ago. Osu.

01.01.2022 We can all do a lot more than we think we can!
