21.01.2022 Hi guys as the end of 2018 draws near and International Dairy Week is nearly upon us, our focus turns towards our December February edition of Crazycow In Print. If you have a message you want to promote in this edition, we would love to speak with you. Please touch base via Facebook or by contacting our new Advertising Manager (James MacGibbon) on (03) 5820 3181. He would love to help you out. It could be anything from a recent show success, you may have something for ...sale, or if you want to gain that valuable extra exposure for your IDW sale lots in the pre-IDW edition that sits on tables throughout the Christmas and New Year break. If you want to build a lasting profile, then print is the answer, and our talented team are here to help. We also have some wonderful stories in this edition, including how US progress with IVF embryos now makes importing easy and conception competitive with MOET embryos, Australian Ayrshire breeder Kevin Smith has his fourth EX94-point cow in as many years. We catch up with his Queensland operation, looking towards his dispersal; we also have fresh IDW previews, and the WDE and Royal coverage in a neat package. We also give an insight into a talented dog trainer and how dairy farmers stand to gain from having the right dog as a right-hand help. Contact us now...we're excited for this edition

01.01.2022 by Dianna Malcolm CrazyCow In Print (CCIP) has been acquired by McPherson Media Group (MMG). MMG is a well-known Australian force in publishing, and is the publishing house behind the successful growth and strength of Dairy News Australia. ... CCIP was founded by Dean and myself 15 years ago in the December of 2003. Many thought it was the impossible dream to have an inclusive magazine for all breeds with a "crazy" name. But we wanted to showcase Australasian dairy to the world in a fresh, classy and engaging way. Not long after we established, Ella and Lexi Wright chatted to us about how we went about it, before they also started Cowsmopolitan in Canada not long afterwards. And, what a success that has also been. We owe a great debt of gratitude to the industry for believing in us - because without advertisers and subscribers we would never have got out of the starting gates - let alone completed 60 editions. Nothing makes us prouder in such a tough climate for publishing and farming than to announce that we are passing CCIP’s baton to a group who not only want to continue CCIP, but also grow and develop the publication. What an exciting opportunity for our industry, and we thank MMG for their faith in registered Australasian breeders. We urge everyone to get behind this new opportunity. Dean and I will be riding side-saddle with MMG for the next 12 months to support the transition. I do want to acknowledge both the Illawarra and Guernsey Cattle Societies for their vision in joining us early on in our journey. They, and their members, have been the backbone of the magazine and we have enjoyed sharing their messages with all breeds. It's been an important time to be covering dairy in Australia and further afield, and a mission which I have felt privileged to be a part of. We have appreciated the wonderful opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the most powerful and influential people in our industry. And, we have worked hard to carry messages of merit. We've gathered a helluva production team around us along the way, and I'll miss the quarterly catch-ups, for sure. Hayley Menzies, of Signature Graphics, will be continuing to work with MMG, and we'd encourage breeders to contact her with regard to their design work. To MMG, congratulations and we can’t wait to see you take CCIP to the next level that we know that it’s capable of becoming within an equally dedicated, bigger team. Sincerely, Dean and Dianna Malcolm
