24.01.2022 The most dominant of all the behavioural DISC styles are Ds. D stands for Dominant. D style people are the movers and shakers, the risk takers. Theyre usually focused on the end goal, can sometimes have little patience, like to move quickly and sometimes are not aware of how their behaviour or decisions are impacting those around them. Ds like to be heard and sometimes struggle with managing their ego. One of the best ways to help Ds become better leaders and or team membe...rs is to actually tell them how it is. Never be afraid to give them feedback as its the only way they ever get a chance to change. Many people are scared by Ds but dont be. 23.01.2022 S Styles. These guys are the most loyal employees you will ever find. They have your back, are authentic and will go the distance. Sometimes they can be a little slow or lack a little confidence or urgency and need a bit of hand holding during change. Make sure they feel safe, you give them enough space to ask questions and clarity around timelines and youll be getting the best out of them in no time.

17.01.2022 Work from home sometimes sounds a lot sexier than it really is, especially when its not always by choice but as many have experienced over the past 6 months by necessity. Weve now got the opportunity to really think about what our week looks like. Sure there may be times we need to be certain places but there are 24 hours in a day - 168 hours in a week. When designing your own week- First, think about what time you want to spend where, doing what. What do you need for you t...o be full to serve others. For those that manage or lead teams. Its a privilege to be in a position to help others. Think about creating a culture where they belong, which is the foundation of productivity. Ensure they have clarity of whats expected of them and trust them to do what they need to do. Im married to a Designer and Ive never realised how much Design actually goes into life. 17.01.2022 Im a big fan of supporting other small businesses. These guys @wearenutie started just over 4.5 years ago @bondifarmersmarket. They catered my little girls first birthday party (who just turned 5) with the most incredible donuts. From day dot we have been BIG fans..This morning we drove over to Balmain to get our hands on a hot cinnamon GF, Dairy Free and Vegan donut - limited edition...and my god they were next level. 09.01.2022 One of my favourite tools for so many reasons is Extended DISC. DISC model of Behavior originated from the studies of William Moulton Marston a Psychologist and Lawyer from Harvard who studied the emotions and behaviours of a large group of people. What he discovered was that we all have 4 consistent types of behaviours that show up in us but in varying degrees. These types of behaviours can help explain why we naturally connect better with some people, others may push our bu...ttons or frustrate us and why we tend to gravitate to certain types of jobs or careers, find some things super easy and others challenging. Its absolutely fascinating to see the results you get from answering 24 questions. Whilst many people are nervous about profiling tools theres absolutely no reason to be. Theyre incredibly powerful in providing an objective perspective and helping individuals and teams create greater self awareness and ultimately become better humans and leaders. Extended DISC goes one step further and gives you two profiles. One that shows who you are naturally and the second that shows whether you feel the need to shift who you are at work. These so much magic in reading these and being able to explain why youre feeling how youre feeling. Ill share the 4 styles with you in more detail over the next few days. You need to set yourself up for success on every wave or face being wiped out. You have to be vulnerable and open to what you cant see. Trust the process. They can sometimes swing from highest highs to lowest lows. If you know any Is in isolation, please ensure you check on them regularly. They love to share what theyre thinking and feeling and usually struggle with honest conversations as they never want to risk being unpopular. Just a reminder no style is better or worse than another. We are who we are and when we understand more about who we are and what we need, were in such a better position to make better choices.
