It shows us ways to deal with loss and anger and what can come of the healing power of both empathy and self-compassion. Inanna re-ascends a much stronger, wiser woman. 19.01.2022 The Tree of Life workshop - August 30th

13.01.2022 Karen Adams - artist - introduced this fun drawing game to a small group of us. It is called - Exquisite Corpse (cadvre exquis) and was apparently a favourite g...ame of the Surrealists (naturally). The name comes from an initial word game that produced the sentence "The exquisite corpse will drink the young wine". There were 4 of us and we each folded a sheet of paper into quarters, across the page. Then we each drew on the first quarter the agreed section of the body. On the next folded section we minutely marked where our drawing had strategically finished eg. side of the neck. This was the section we handed onto the next person who then drew the next agreed section of the body and so on. Here were the startling creatures we created! See more

07.01.2022 Creative Self-Enquiry Course - February & March Come along to this course I'll be running over 5 weeks in February and March. It's a great opportunity to fully engage your creative process and give it the depth and intensity it deserves. We'll work in a sustained, Imaginative and intuitive way with your art creations as the 5 weeks will give a good amount of time for dialogue with the piece and other members of the group. It's a way of being with your creativity that allows ...what it wants to say to unfold or emerge slowly...a bit like the slow cooking movement...this is one that gives lots of time to explore your creativity and perhaps be surprised by what it has to say. We'll work with a number of materials - whatever you want to work with - and also use some improvisational processes to explore the patterns or themes in your life that might be emerging. This sort of improvisational play is also invaluable in looking at and trying out potential new ways of responding to old patterns. 04.01.2022 I've recently been working with a group of older people in their 70's, 80's and 90's; 96 years being the eldest. They are such a diverse and wonderful group with amazing and inspirational stories. We played around with squiggling on waxy crayon- prepared paper the other day. One man drew a forest, another drew what he might see from 50 metres up in the clouds, and others drew their companions while they were drawing.
