22.01.2022 What is a Master stylist/hairdresser you may ask? This is a certified achievement that has been trained for. I undertook two years of study at Tas tafe on top of the four years hairdressing apprenticeship completed many years earlier. Some of the core subjects studied included: Salon administration ... Regulations of the industry Buying/selling a business Staffing issues Business finance skills Marketing and merchandising Computers in business On top of these core subjects studied I have completed TAFE training in advanced makeup techniques, competed in many hairdressing competitions, performed photographic work, completed social media courses, advanced cutting and colouring courses and achieved/completed well over 40+ Diploma/educational courses. I am currently training a cert IV in workplace training and assessment. There are many hairdressers out there in industry calling themselves 'specialists' or a 'master' in their field. My colour guest does not like the look of foils so I gently lifted the dark band with some free hand colour painting. 19.01.2022 Hi guys I just wanted to touch base with you all and talk about covid 19 and what procedures I have put in place to keep us all safe whist in salon. 1 Masks!!! I'm wearing a mask at all times in salon. As a client it is expected that you wear one too. Now this colouring business can get messy, so I'd advise you wear a disposable mask so that if it gets wet or colour on it then there is no problem.... 2. I am fortunate that I own a lot of equipment. All equipment is single u...se and it is bagged up after use for cleaning/sterilizing which is done at the end of the day. Equipment such as scissors are cleaned between clients. 3. The work stations and chairs are cleaned with disinfectant between each client. I am allowing time for this procedure between each guest. It does take time and even though I look free to start an appointment early....I'm not. 4. Hand sensitization - I wash and sanitize my hands before starting each service and often whist I'm working with a client. Please sanitize as you walk in. There is hand sanitizer at the front desk and at your designated work station. 5. Social distancing is adhered to in this salon. I focus on one client at a time where possible and have an empty chair between guests. It is best where possible to arrive and have your appointment done as a single client. If you have to bring the kids please call me and I will make special arrangements to accommodate. 6. It is a stressful time for us all and having your hair done can be such a positive and uplifting experience. I try to wear my smile at all times . If you feel unwell, even if it is just a sniffle.....please re-schedule when you are well or get your doctor's clearance. If you have any doubts or just need to chat about your visit please reach out. Thank you for you patience and I look forward to creating beautiful hair for you . Dianna
