20.01.2022 It’s hard for a novelist to convey their idea of lightness with examples drawn from the events of contemporary life without making it the unattainable object of an endless quest. Yet Milan Kundera has done just that with clarity and Immediacy. The Unbearable lightness of Being is in fact a bitter declaration of the acceptable weight of living living not only with a desperate and all pervading state of oppression that was the fate of his unlike country, but with the human co...ndition shared also by us however much luckier we may tend to be. For Kundera, the weight of living is found in all types of restriction, in the dense network of public and private restrictions that ultimately envelopes every life in ever tighter bonds. His novel shows us how everything in life that we choose and value for its lightness, quickly reveals it’s often unbearable heaviness. Perhaps nothing escapes this fight with a liveliness and nimbleness of the mind - the very qualities with which the novel is written, qualities that belong to a universe other than the one that we live in. When the human realms he was doomed to heaviness, I feel the need to fly like Perseus into some other space. I’m not talking about escaping into dreams are into the irrational. I mean that I feel I need to change my approach, to look at the world from a different angle, with different logic, different methods of knowing improving. The state of NOW.... releases you from a past - The ground thus then becomes illusionary - underneath us is not stable This is an intense series of playouts in pure revision.. again... An entry point into that which still remains back to a past shows us it is obsolete. Choose carefully. What was it exactly that you thought you were going to go back to exactly? Or would take away or not have gone through? It’s gone dead in the water revision of what I hear you sayrevision.. reversion.. perceptional viewpoints pivot of NOW. By being present you come to an awareness of no before or after...more like a version of multi dimensional truths that you can choose to dip into like a walk in wardrobe. Existing concurrently you have the capacity to now see all of that which was previously unavailable to you. Objectivity no emotion will allow you freedom - but ya gotta feel it first to let it go...That it was always this way.. it was always happening at the same time. Therefore the future when you know it - more becomes a loss of that which had translated as to that before it is now - then so where does that leave you? It may be in the mind remembering.. it may be in the past or the trauma of what you can’t fix.. or it maybe just maybe here - right here - right now.. releasing the protection.. letting go of the holding space.. and watching even if it is with tears in your eyes that it was always going to be this way... you just couldn’t, didn’t or hadn’t seen it clearly - you were still seeing an wanting the illusion.
