24.01.2022 Inspired by the Disney Movie Up we created these gorgeous mixed media artworks. We taped down the page with masking tape and then the kids drew the house ( using a reference) in pencil and then traced with a sharpie. Acrylic blue paint was used for the sky and left to dry. Oil pastels were used for the balloons and house. Some kids choose to leave the house black and white which also looks really cool!

11.01.2022 Cardboard cactus sculptures in todays after school class #cardboardcrafts #cactus

11.01.2022 Cardboard Cactus Sculpture // How to: 1. Create simple cactus shape with a pot, trace and cut from cardboard using exacto knife ( cardboard needs to be thicker than a cereal box as it needs to stand up on its own). Cut 2 slits, one from the bottom and one from the top. 2. Decorate the bottom of the cutouts ( pots) with oil pastels - the kids need to decorate all 4 sides. 3. Slot the pieces together so it stands on its own, paint the tops with green acrylic paint. 4. We then used puffy paint to create spikes and some flowers.
