20.01.2022 As part of our EMPOWER program, we have supported emerging playwright and performer Rhys Williams in his debut one-man show opening this weekend titled 'Retrospective of Lindsay Hayes'. Staged as an exhibition opening, we learn from Lindsay's best friend Simon (played by Rhys) of her notorious reputation as appropriation artist, taking art piracy to a whole new level. A blend of art and theatre, this is a unique experience of humour, wit and at the heart of it, love and jealo...usy. The four shows at the Bundaberg Regional Galleries are SOLD OUT, however this engaging exhibition will remain open in the coming weeks. His work was supported by Creative Regions and the stART grant program from Arts Queensland, engaging over 15 artists to create the exhibition that the show is based on. One idea, 16 regional artists supported. Bravo and break a leg!!

ABC Wide Bay's Kallee Buchanan has been capturing stories in interviews for our project 'In the Shed'. You'll get to hear the stories on ABC Wide Bay soon, but in the meantime you can come and check out the exhibition of images from the project taken by the talented Sabrina Lauriston Photography.
