15.01.2022 ’ I first received a call from Hannah about 3 weeks prior to their wedding... the borders were reopening... (on the 17th July) and they had made the decision to go ahead and get married! The catch- unfortunately their original Celebrant and friend was unable to be there, due to continuing travel restrictions in his own state, but thankfully I was available (due to another couple postponing, thanks Coronavirus!) but from that very first phone call, I wanted to do my absolute best to give Hannah and Matt the amazing wedding ceremony they deserved! And I promised their Celebrant friend, Iain, I would look after them! In the short time I got to know Matt and Hannah, I loved working with them... they were so pragmatic about everything; the story and details they shared gave me awesome content to write their ceremony... it reflected them, their journey, their relationship and resonated with their guests. It’s always a huge compliment when guests take the time, after the ceremony, to tell you you it was beautiful and I always give full credit to the couple, as I’m driven by them!! So while Coronavirus threw curveballs at this couple both personally and professionally, they did it, they got married! Hannah was the driving force and wanted it to come together and Matt supported her all the way with his patience and good humour and on a 4 week timeline in the midst of a pandemic, they pulled it off and became husband and wife! They had a stellar team lined up who worked through the multiple stages of their planning: Beach St. Photography Creative Two Beija Flor Darwin Bridey Rose All About Party Hire Darwin And I was the sub, pulled in at the last minute, to make it legal when their original Celebrant couldn’t make it! It’s always an amazing journey with any couple, whether it’s an epic marathon from start to finish or a sprint to the end, it’s an honour to work with a couple and create a ceremony especially for them.
