25.01.2022 Art Classes Term 4 start next week

25.01.2022 Thanks to everyone (kids and parents) for another great year of art. Loved the work in the exhibition. It's up a bit longer, so if you missed the opening on Saturday you'll get a chance to see it if you pick up the kids this week. (Plus we'll be posting more of the kids' art soon here of Facebook too.)

22.01.2022 Not long to go before the election. Time to think seriously about who youre going to vote for. Heres a thought https://www.facebook.com/TheArtsParty A great alternative to the major parties. Sends a message to the pollies the Arts is important. And you could get someone sensible in a balance of power position in the Senate - instead of the kind of people weve seen before (like the Motoring Enthusiast Party or the Shooters Party or Clive Palmer.) Malcolm is talking about ..."Jobs and Growth!" Yet the Liberals have stripped so much out of the Arts budget, thousands of jobs in the Arts have been lost or put in jeopardy across Australia. Meanwhile in NSW, the two art colleges are being merged and the Liberal State government is trying to sell the historic National Art School buildings to a Singaporean based company to turn it into a luxury hotel. The guy who started The Arts Party is one of the Dads of the kids who come to Lisas art classes. We dont normally publicly back a political party, but we reckon hes onto a good thing. In fact, were even handing out how to vote flyers this Saturday. (If you want to help let us know.) We think creativity and the creative industries are an important part of this countrys future. What do you think?
