19.01.2022 . . This means:... All travel on Cresswell Coaches services will continue to be free until 5 July 2020. As you would be aware, under the Tasmanian Government’s plan for easing COVID-19 restrictions, all primary school and college students returned to school on Monday 25 May and high school students are expected to return to school on Tuesday 9 June. As on-site learning resumes for all students, there is the potential for passenger numbers to increase within a short time. While public transport is not subject to the COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, it is very important that everyone take steps as far as is reasonably practical to minimise the spread of COVID-19. If undertaking short trips, consider walking or cycling. When queuing at the bus stop, keep a minimum of one metre from other passengers. Keep physical distancing in mind and choose a seat away from others where possible. Members of the same household can sit together. Minimise contact with surfaces inside the bus as much as possible. Practice good hand hygiene and where possible, wash or sanitise hands before boarding the bus. Cover coughs or sneezes. Do not occupy the first row of seats near the driver. Always comply with any requests from driver. Please note that bus drivers are not responsible for enforcing the above physical distancing measures. Importantly, no unaccompanied child will be denied boarding a bus on the grounds of physical distancing requirements. Passengers also have responsibilities to ensure that travel on public transport is safe: If going to work, school, the shops or vital appointments by bus we need to travel safe together. Physical distancing is still important so give others plenty of space where you can. Avoid peak periods, consider walking or cycling instead. To help protect you, cleaning of buses has increased. Most of all, if you are unwell please don’t catch the bus. Please be assured that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety of students and drivers when travelling on buses and to manage risk based on the best and latest evidence and medical advice. Parents/carers have been advised that if they are uncomfortable with the arrangements that are in place, they may wish to consider alternative means of transport for their child(ren). Students should not use public transport if they are supposed to be in isolation or are unwell. New information on school bus arrangements and the fare amnesty can be found on the website at: https://www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/familie/public-transport Thank you for your ongoing patience and support as we navigate this together.

We have been receiving messages from some not very happy people, while we understand the frustration, postage speed once we have posted is completely out of our control. Pre Purchase Ticket sales are on hold while we investigate the cost of express post / trackable postage.... Once we have the new postage cost, tickets will again be available to pre purchase in bulk. 03.01.2022 It’s certainly been a very long hard few months since 14th March. Our phone rang hot with everything booked in being cancelled from the 14th March. Thankfully with our school runs for students of essential workers, we didn’t close or have to put off any staff.... However, others have not been so lucky, hats off to all small business owners, keep fighting the fight !!... Victoria's Secret declared bankruptcy. Zara closed 1,200 stores. Chanel, Hermes and Rolex have stopped production. Nike is getting ready for stage two of layoffs. AirBnb founder says that due to the pandemic,12 years of effort were destroyed in 6 weeks. Starbucks announced the permanent closure of 400 stores. And the list continues... Five months since the pandemic started, it has created huge debts, many of our friends and family are out of work and unemployed with tens of thousands of businesses now out of service. If the company you work for is still standing, then treat it well and have respect for what the owner(s) must be going through to keep it going. 2020 is about survival, be conscious of the daily complaints/moans and leave anything else minor behind, be thankful for what you have. Work hard and show your company, clients/ customers, & co-workers the appreciation they need and deserve. And support any small business you know.

02.01.2022 Please share !!!!

02.01.2022 Midlands Highway is currently CLOSED FROM EAST BAGDAD ROAD, BAGDAD. So if you live beyond this point, please be prepared the buses may not get to you tomorrow morning. Or even Bagdad depending on the weather over night. We will advise how far we can get as early as possible tomorrow morning.
