24.01.2022 Another wonderful LPT BBQ happened today! Filled with food, fun and face painting, our students, families, staff and community partners joined together in one very happy afternoon. Thanks to Mrs Scutt and all of the LPT staff for all the hard work and organisation behind this great event!

23.01.2022 Tuckshop announcement In light of the unfolding virus situation which changes daily, reduced student numbers at school, supply issues and school holidays only two weeks away, the tuckshop will run down existing supplies from this point. This may mean some items will be unavailable when they run out, so please be prepared to order alternative items.

19.01.2022 The National NAIDOC Committee has decided to postpone NAIDOC Week 2020 (5 July - 12 July) in the interest of safety for our communities. This decision was not taken lightly. They have taken on-board the advice from the Federal Government, health experts, our key partners and from leading national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health organisations. The committee has stated we all believe that an escalating COVID-19 (Coronavirus) crisis as we head into winter would have disastrous impacts on our mob - especially for our elders and those in our communities with chronic health issues. Thanks to the Concert Choir for their amazing performance and our distinguished guests, including Cameron Dick MP, for their time. We also had a number of proud family members in attendance.

10.01.2022 REPRESENTATIVE SCHOOL SPORT PROGRAM CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE: As a response to COVID-19 containment measures, the Department of Education has issued the following directive: A decision has been made to cancel: the representative school sport program which includes district, regional, state, national, interstate and international competitions Queensland School Sport team participation in any national, interstate or international events organised across Australia or ...internationally. This decision is effective as of 17 March 2020 and will continue until further advice. This has been a very difficult decision and not one taken lightly. These directions are about supporting the effort to contain and slow the spread of COVID-19, and have also become operationally necessary based on participants; available staff coaches, managers, and supports; umpires and referees; venues; as well as a clear school sport pathway. 10.01.2022 Please be advised that the Open Enrolment Evening at Kingston State College which was planned for Wednesday the 25th March has been postponed. We will contact you in the near future regarding a change of date. This may affect our Year 6 students. Kingston State College is currently accepting enrolments for 2021 and the Principal or Deputy Principal would be happy to offer an individual tour of the school or an interview if required.
