25.01.2022 Meet Adam Williams - a landscape photographer from Sydney. For as long as I can remember I have always had a creative interest. For me its all about communicating emotion. Powerful imagery is emotional. I have lived with levels of depression and anxiety for periods of my life and much of the emotion within my work, draws its inspiration from the highs and lows of these days. This would be the reason why my work varies wildly from the given scene, because the landscape itself is the canvas for my artistic expression." 23.01.2022 Meet Jenny and Roger Gifkins. Jennys work has evolved through a life long love of textiles and fibre as well as a passion for Japanese style and design. "I incorporate both traditional and a more modern take on Japanese technique such as sahiko, boro, shibori as well as embroidery," Jenny said. As a woodworker, Roger has specialised in detailed joinery and boxmaking for the past 35 years. His earlier Scandinavian influenced designs have evolved over the years towards more oriental design with a strong Japanese theme.

14.01.2022 Pete Gailey graduated in Fine Arts at National Art School, Darlinghurst. A former high school art teacher now retired and living in South West Rocks is getting back to his practice. I work in a variety of mediums, painting, drawing, photography, print making. I love the landscape, light, the figure, and anything else that grabs my eye. Im always interested in commissions, Pete said. Some links to other works. https://petegailey.smugmug.com/Art/My-gallery

13.01.2022 Gordon Rossiter, an award winning landscape artist whose paintings hang in collections globally, will feature at our art show. I describe my style of painting as modern impressionism, landscapes that hopefully show the reason that I chose to paint them. Oils are my favourite choose of medium and I like to paint on location and work on larger works in the studio, he said.

13.01.2022 Michelle Lamey, who is a South West Rocks artist, moved to the area in January 2016. Having lived the majority of her life inland, Michelle has found enormous inspiration from the coastal colours and rhythms. Currently working with acrylic pours, soft pastels and charcoals, she creates texture and movement on all manner of surfaces including canvas, ceramics and even old vinyl - pretty much anything she can lay her hands on! The three pieces for this exhibition truly show her love for the ocean and the coastal lifestyle. http://www.wearforart.net/wearforart-studios.html

11.01.2022 These are photographic mandalas by Samantha Williams. Mandalas encapsulate the energy from where and when the images are taken. They then radiate that energy into any space, any body and thus helping people to get back to self, to find that peace within. All the Mandalas are photos taken in nature and using a process, are turned into magical pieces of art, they each embody the spirit from where the photograph is taken. This mandala is... called Tranquillitas" The photograph is of "Little Nobby" in Crescent Head, NSW. It was taken from the grassy area up the top of Pebbly Beach looking back over the ocean to the Nobby. Crescent Head is full of spirit energy, I always feel calm and alive here, Sam said.

05.01.2022 Leigh Lamey, who is a photographer from South West Rocks, started WearForArt Photography after a family trip touring this wide brown land in 2012. Nine months in a caravan with two teenagers resulted in thousands of photos - not one of them a portrait involving his own family! WFAP is a hobby only - with a full-time job and a kelpie there is no time for anything more - but Leigh is constantly in pursuit of "the perfect shot." The downside is he has absolutely no idea what it will be, only that he will know it when he sees it. The three pieces Leigh has entered the exhibition are each a huge departure for him - lacking faces, expressions and any form of costuming. www.wearforart.net
