18.01.2022 I was able to break the Covid-19 drought last month with a photoshoot in Rocky with the Wicked Tales Model Support Group. And finally got around to finishing up these photos of J Monique - Model and Jamie Rose-Model. 12.01.2022 On the weekend I finally got to photograph my first same sex marriage! Jana's and Alicia had to make some last minute change of plans to their wedding due to Covid-19 but I think it was actually a blessing in disguise. What we ended up getting was an amazingly intimate wedding. A backyard reception was a perfect choice that suited the brides and their families who all came together to celebrate this fun and special day.... 05.01.2022 Hey, wedding guests, I’m talking to you today. There are two people getting married and you’re invited to celebrate with them. I know what you’re thinking, *gos...h, another bloody wedding* but this is no ordinary wedding, this is their wedding, and it’s a miracle that they are even together. There’s a one in four quadrillion chance of them even existing, then for them to meet, and not hate each other, but to get together, and then to agree that they should spend the rest of their life together? That’s crazy and amazing and worth putting all of your family stuff, friend crap, and weird expectations of what a wedding should be for just one day and prepare yourself to actually celebrate the couple. How do we do that you ask? Turn up to the ceremony about 15 minutes early, leave your camera bag in the car, and your phone in your pocket. Put a happy face on and rock up to the ceremony ready to party. Fill up the seats (they’ve literally rented them at $15 a piece so don’t stand around them awkwardly, be a big kid and sit in a frickin chair), but offer your seat to elderly, or family if they can’t sit. When they arrive to the ceremony, make them feel welcome, be the clap-starter not the clap-follower. Feel free to even wolf whistle or maybe go yeah with your mouth. Simply put, look like you give AF. Like, just make it appear that you care. That as the couple or the celebrant look at you, we don’t have to wonder if you are interested in this. That’s why you’re here, not for the free booze or to catch up with mates, but to communicate to the newlywed couple that you care. 01.01.2022 Christian + Leanne 2020 Weddings kicked off early this year! Leanne & Christian chose to memorialise their wedding day on Christian's birthday. So we had a midweek (is Friday still midweek?) wedding day!... We could not have asked for a more perfect summer's day. A nice gentle breeze topped off the perfect day overlooking Lake Awoonga for the ceremony, before heading back to Yaralla Sports Club to celebrate with friends and family. 01.01.2022 A little something different from me than normal. Tonight I had the pleasure of being in the company of some musical geniuses, The Lyrical. I've seen these guys a few times now and they are by far my favourite live act. When I saw they were coming to play at Crow Street Creative I certainly wasn't going to miss out. Plus I can take my camera along.
