20.01.2022 The Cricket NSW Greater Hunter team would like to congratulate Helene Goadbsy who is a very deserving recipient of a Distinguished Long Service Award as part of the 2020 NSW Community Sport Awards. Helene has served the Greater Hunter Cricket region with dedication and distinction since 1990 when her son began playing Under 10s in Singleton. She took on the Singleton District Cricket Association Secretary role that year and still today undertakes this position. She has als...o served as representative Secretary and Official Scorer for the Singleton representative teams. Also in 1990 she joined the Hunter Valley Junior Cricket Council (HVJCC) Executive Committee and became Secretary of that organisation 2 years later. Helenes tenure at HVJCC has included not only the Secretary role but roles as Treasurer, Recorder & Cricket Carnival Convener during her time and she continues today to serve on the Executive of the HVJCC today. In addition, Helene joined the Hunter Valley Cricket Council (HVCC) in 2011 and took on the role as Treasurer a role she continues to currently fulfil. In addition, Helene has undertaken the role of Assistant Secretary at this organisation since 2017. Helene has also served as a delegate for the HVCC & HVJCC to the Central North Zone. Helene continues to volunteer her services to the game of cricket with passion and commitment despite her sons no longer participating in the game. She is a true ornament to our game in the Hunter Valley region. Helene has demonstrated tremendous leadership in cricket throughout the Hunter Valley region over the past 30 years she is now one of the most highly respected volunteers and administrators and continues to direct and assist others as she volunteers and represents Singleton District Cricket Association, Hunter Valley Junior Cricket Council & Hunter Valley Cricket Council. The game of cricket in the Hunter region is for the better for the services, leadership, direction & commitment shown by Helene Goadsby.

15.01.2022 A fantastic day in Scone with 77 girls from Scone Grammar School participating in a girls-only gala day at the Bill Rose Complex. The girls had a brilliant and exciting day playing cricket and learning new skills. With the support of @Scone Junior Cricket we look forward to seeing many of these girls playing in the Sixers Girls Cricket League on Friday evenings during Spring. 08.01.2022 The Grassroots Cricket Fund - Equipment Fund (GCF) is an initiative between Cricket Australia (CA) and the Australian Players Association (ACA) that injects $30 million back into the game at a grassroots level. The GCF will ensure community cricket clubs around Australia get much-needed investment to reinforce their position as pillars for local communities and continue to produce the next generation of Australian crickets stars. This year, there is $2 million in GCF Equipme...nt grants available across the country. Applications will open THURSDAY Thursday 3 September 2020 - time TBA. This is a first come, first served system. Eligible applicants: Community cricket clubs or associations that operate in place of a club (please contact your local Cricket NSW Contact if youre unsure) Affiliated with CA or CNSW Located in Australia, properly constituted and registered as an incorporated body. Have satisfactorily met reporting requirements on any grants previously received from the GCF Clubs that have previously secured funding from the GCF can make an application to this round Ineligible applicants: Premier clubs Associations Schools and colleges Indoor cricket centres Umpires associations Grants will be prioritised towards eligible applicants involved in the following initiatives in the 2019/20 season: Woolworths Cricket Blast (Junior or Master Blaster program) Junior Girls Team (registered on MyCricket) Adopted & endorsed the Safeguarding Children & Young People Framework If your club can demonstrate the implementation of: One of the above: Eligible to apply for a $1,000 grant Two of the above: Eligible to apply for a $1,500 grant All of the above: Eligible to apply for a $2,000 grant Examples of eligible grant items include: Costs for COVID-19 equipment (e.g. signage, cleaning costs, hygiene stations) Equipment for play (e.g. helmets, pads, gloves, bats) Competition and training equipment (e.g. uniforms, stumps, balls) Portable infrastructure (e.g. portable nets, Flicx pitches) Maintenance equipment Club equipment (e.g. BBQs, shade & shelter, white goods) Examples of ineligible grant items include: Capital building works or fixed infrastructure (Please contact your local CNSW Cricket Manager to discuss these projects) Prizes, giveaways, alcohol, merchandise Administration costs, professional coaching Canteen items Costs incurred before 1 July 2020 Please speak to your local cricket contact to ensure that you meet all relevant eligibility criteria. They provide information and guidance on complaints procedures - they are the go to person if you want to discuss problems at your club/association, particularly if you are considering making a formal complaint. WHAT HAS CHANGED? The first phase of the training remains the same. Participants can now attend a specific block of onli...ne training after completing the MPIO online modules training. 1. Register for and complete the seven online modules for Member Protection Information Officer via the Paly by the Rules website https://www.playbytherules.net.au/online/mpio-online-course 2. Attend an online training via Web Delivery (Platform MS Teams). These are staged in two one-hour sessions and you must be available for both sessions. In addition to the fantastic 8 lane cricket training facility, a new 2.8m x 28m synthetic wicket has been installed at Bill Rose Complex, Scone by Gabba Sports Netting and Surfaces - gabba.com.au, complete with junior format markings. #ACIF

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: Incorporated Clubs, and Associations, bodies or other deliverers that are affiliated, recognised and/or sanctioned by Cricket NSW. Clubs must demonstrate they have endorsed Cricket Australias Safeguarding Children and Young People policy.... Councils located in NSW. T20 Legacy Fund Round 3 Categories INFRASTRUCTURE Requests of up to 50% of the total project cost Maximum contribution of up to $200,000 excl. GST Minimum grant is $15,000 excl. GST Eligible projects: cricket nets, pitches, amenities, oval drainage / irrigation, lighting, shade/shelter Ineligible projects: rollers, mowers, pitch covers, bowling machines, portable scoreboards, picket fencing FEMALE PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES Requests of up to 50% of the total project cost Maximum contribution of up to $30,000 excl. GST Minimum grant is $2,500 excl.
