08.01.2022 Jeffrey Deaver is quoted as saying "Rotenberg does for Toronto what Ian Rankin does for Edinburgh". If we can cover the cost of his travel and accommodation through our crowd-funding campaign http://pozible.com/project/crime-justice-festival - Robert Rotenberg will participate in multiple sessions and be our headline guest. He has practiced criminal law in his home city of Toronto, Canada, for the past twenty-six years; he is partner in the law firm Rotenberg, Shidlowski a...nd Jesin. He is the former managing editor of an English-language magazine, Passion: the magazine of Paris and his own publication T.O. the magazine of Toronto. And, he is the author of four bestselling legal thrillers: Old City Hall, The Guilty Plea, Stray Bullets and Stranglehold. Jeffrey Deaver has said Rotenberg does for Toronto what Ian Rankin does for Edinburgh. Robert presents a diverse and fascinating range of characters and, as in all the best works in this genre, the sense of place is pivotal to the stories; in this case, the city of Toronto is front and centre. To find out more about Robert see his website http://robertrotenberg.com/ Reader's Feast Booksellers Mary Dalmau See more

04.01.2022 We met John Rebus in 1987 in the book Knots and Crosses. This photo is just one shelf I have of Ian Rankin's books in my personal library at home. I have multip...le editions of some of the titles he has written and these fit within my collection of over a thousand crime novels. A number of signed editions are part of the collection. Ian graciously and instantly agreed to be our patron for the Crime and Justice festival at its inception nine years ago. I was, of course, absolutely thrilled. You can read Ian's comments on our festival on our pozible campaign page for the tenth anniversary. Mary D See more
