12.01.2022 For the past few months a collaboration has been brewing, one that we feel very strongly about. We are so very proud to announce our partnership with LivingWorks Australia to call on those who have trained in suicide prevention first aid to make themselves known on our platform. Since their inception LivingWorks has trained a massive 200,000 Australians and we want to help these people help others. This is partnership, in conjunction with North Western Melbourne PHN and SEMP...HN, is giving free training to people in these Melbourne areas to help support themselves and others in light of lockdown. But you shouldn't feel left out if you don't live in Melbourne. LivingWorks Aus is covering half the cost of the 90 minute suicide prevention training course, Start. We've done it, and it's brilliant. Now more than ever we need to learn the skills, or use the skills, to pick up on people who might be thinking suicide. Want to train? Head to www.crisisheroes.com/livingworks and follow the prompts. Be sure to watch the video below too!

10.01.2022 Adelaide! We are thinking of you as you endure six days of lockdown. This period of isolation can be tough for many, so if you need someone to speak with, head to www.crisisheroes.com and connect with the many people on our platform willing to chat. See you on the other side

10.01.2022 Tag someone you know in Melbourne that could hear this right now. In light of the Coronavirus reopening roadmap for Metro Melbourne, we've invented our own. First step - Take a moment to check in on yourself. It's a confusing time and you're allowed to be sad. You may have used the perspective card, eg looking at those you deem to be in worse circumstances than yourself, but it's okay to focus on yourself. Make sure you're looking out for number one. You can only help other...s if you help yourself first. Second step - Seek support if you're not okay*. Talk to your friends or family, or contact support services like Lifeline Australia and Beyond Blue. Whatever avenue you choose, never suffer in silence. You're not alone. Third step - Prioritise your sanity, not work. Is it just us or is work eating into our personal time more than it was before the pandemic? The saying "don't bring your work home with you" is now something we can't escape. Take the time for a breather and shut off. Keep missing the time to go for a run or watch your favourite TV series? Draw a line in the sand and do what makes you happy. Last step - Know that if you can get through this, you can get through anything! You're killing it. Your resilience should be admired. Not many people will have to endure what you're currently going through, so give yourself a break and know that your strength of character is inspiring. COVID Normal - Lookout for others, even when this pandemic subsides. We rise to our maximum potential when we're of service to others." COVID and beyond, we'd like to see a world where Crisis Heroes permanently exists to help people, help one another. If you've got the capacity to help, it's something you'll never regret. A simple chat online or dropping off some groceries could mean the world to someone. Stay strong everyone If you want to help or need a hand, head to our website: www.crisisheroes.com *If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, we have a list of services you can utilise here: https://crisisheroes.webflow.io/#MentalHealth

09.01.2022 One week ago since this happened. Have you had a look at this fantastic piece put together by TODAY? We are humbled to have people like Hayleigh, Rachael and hundreds of others doing great things on our platform.

09.01.2022 This year has seen many of us separated from friends and family. Who would you like to give a special shout to for their support from afar?

07.01.2022 Story time. It's #worldkindnessday, and it's very fitting that we share with you an amazing story to come from Crisis Heroes. Recently, a Crisis Heroes member said she spotted an elderly woman in NSW struggling at the shops and after speaking with her found out she was living alone, isolated. She posted the following on our platform:... "After helping her and talking to her she told me she has absolutely nobody to help and no one to even just ring and say hi... She's an adorable lady and I'd love if someone in that area could help her in any way. Even if you could help me with any advice or places she could get help etc. She went days without milk as she has nobody at all to help her get to the shop or even grab a milk for her." We are so very happy to report that several people heard this call and came to the aid of this lonely woman. One calls and chats with her regularly, the other drops off supplies. The moral of this story? Even if you can't help directly, you can still change someone's life by signalling for support or alerting others. That to this person who did so World Kindness Day or not, what act of kindness can you do to brighten someone's life? You can make your start at www.crisisheroes.com

04.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who has joined us on this amazing journey -Crisis Heroes is in more than 30 countries. -We are just about to welcome 4,000 members. -We've partnered with LivingWorks Australia to help save lives.... -We've seen countless acts of kindness and people take the brave steps towards asking for help. 02.01.2022 Oops. We may have taken things for granted! If there was ever a silver-lining to this year, it's now knowing to value and appreciate the little things. Who agrees?

01.01.2022 It's been one week since we launched #matesformelbourne, and wow. More than 600 people have signed up to lend an ear or seek support. The feedback has been overwhelming. Thank you to each and everyone of you. While this initiative grows, it's easy to forget that Crisis Heroes is a global platform. In our backyard, our community grows. For those new to Crisis Heroes:... = Lending support = Asking for support Let's spread hope and kindness across Australia, not germs.

01.01.2022 There’s never been a better or more important time to upskill yourself in suicide first aid training. Look at the amount of people letting Australia know that they’re here and ready to listen.
