02.01.2022 Essential Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information to Remember

01.01.2022 Hi Warracknabeal Community I very rarely write "personal" posts like this but I felt I needed to say - please be kind I can feel peoples worry and anxiousness over WSC school closure due to a reported case of coronavirus (COVID-19). I understand parents and communities worry and concern. ... As a mum, WSC school council president, a Councillor and member of our Warracknabeal Community I get it COVID isnt fun. Its frustrating, worrying, terrifying, annoying and at times downright scary! A letter from school advised parents that the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Health and Human Service are undertaking further investigation. While further investigation takes place all staff and students were asked in the letter to stay at home until further advice is given. I understand that we have been asked to stay at home. I also know that I am not a doctor or one of the government departments listed above so I cant tell anyone to isolate nor does the letter from the school. I do believe that we all need to make their own decisions as to what stay at home means for them. For me this means that I stay home, minimize contact with others, avoid the street/ high people areas and I wait for further instructions. I choose to stay at home and keep my children home because I am trying to minimize the potential risk of any spread. Please be kind, in a world where things are tough and at times daunting please be kind to others COVID may be nasty but that doesnt mean we need to be. Take care, be kind and stay safe See more
