01.01.2022 The Crocka Foundation in partnership with the Traralgon Golf Club will hold its second 101 Hole Golf Marathon on Friday 4 December 2015 at the Traralgon Golf Co...urse to raise money for the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI). The inaugural 101 Hole Golf Marathon held in December 2013 raised more than $30,000 for the institute and provided a unique physical and mental challenge for participants. Up to 54 participants in teams of three can register for the Golf Marathon which will be played under a Drop Out Ambrose format. Teeing off at approximately 5am participants cover approximately 50 kilometres within 16 hours (compulsory finish time of no later than 9pm) while navigating the beautiful Traralgon golf course. The event has expanded this year to cater for those who would prefer not to chase a white ball around!! A 50 kilometre All Day Adventure Walk, 20 kilometre Afternoon Hike as well as a five kilometre and 10 kilometre Afternoon Stroll will present its own challenges for those who would prefer the walk without the frustration a game of golf. Winding around throughout the golf course the various distances cater to all with staggered start times culminating in the participants from all events finishing between 8 and 9pm. An after party at the Traralgon Golf Club Function Room will round out the event. The first golf marathon for the Crocka Foundation was a tremendous success with participants enjoying a challenging and fun event that raised money for a fantastic cause.
