Second inspection has determined that with many diamonds unable to be used, and the ongoing chance of more rain meaning the remaining diamonds may not be able to be used either, all games will be cancelled. 12.01.2022 AFTERNOON GAMES CANCELLED All 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30 games cancelled. Grounds crew have inspected the fields and have determined that the real option of canceling C and B Grade Teeball will free up many of the diamonds which would allow us to play utilising the back diamonds. There will be considerable work to get the remaining diamonds up to playable standard which even if this is a achieved any amount of rain will undo it all so without any clear sky’s or forecast today’s Seniors will have to be cancelled as well. - Will Lutke (SSSA Groundsman)

11.01.2022 The council has opened the grounds for anyone training tonight but SSSA are asking for the following considerations: - Diamonds 2 & 3 infields are not to be used - Outer grass diamonds 5-8 please keep off batting boxes and pitching path.... - All outfields are fine to use. SSSA has also cancelled all Rep training tonight. The forecast is not looking good for Saturday play but it’s been changing all week so far, fingers crossed we get some games.

10.01.2022 SSSA are seeking expressions of interest for the following 2019 teams: U16 Male Representative team State Championships will be held at Blacktown International Sports Park on the 27th 28th April, 2019. Prospective players must be younger than 16 years old by Dec 2019, ie. born in 2004 or later.... U16 Female Representative team State Championships will be held at Blacktown International Sports Park on the 6th 7th April, 2019. Prospective players must be younger than 16 years old by Dec 2019, ie. born in 2004 or later. Teeball Boys and Girls Representative team State Championships will be held at Macarthur Softball Association on the 30th 31st March, 2019. Prospective players must be younger than 10 years old by Dec 2019, ie. born in 2010 or later. EOI for all three grades must be received by 24th of November 2018 via the Representative Player Application (link below).

Following is the information from SSSA: After allowing all information to be taken in to consideration including The POOR air quality level being maintained for tomorrow The recognised reporting agency for air quality by Softball NSW which recommends not playing at this level... Cricket in the Sutherland Shire has called off all games for this weekend The SSSA Adverse Weather Committee have decided to cancel the round as we have a duty to the members to not play where there is a chance it potentially could be unsafe to do so. Have the day off everyone and let’s get ready for a big final round next week with lots going on including 4:30 Showcase game the 2020 U16 Women V’s SSSA A Grade Allstars on Diamond 1 also the Movie night hosted fully by the Association all information forthcoming this week so secure your spot as it will be popular!
