03.01.2022 Today is Kokoda Day. #onthisday in 1942 Kokoda was recaptured by a small Australian patrol led by Lieutenant Alexander Black of the 2/31st Battalion. The Kokoda... campaign lasted three months and cost Australians more than 450 lives, while several thousand were wounded and suffered from sickness and disease. 18-year-old Reg Chard was part of this infantry and left his job as an apprentice baker to enlist in the Australian Army. In this video he takes us on his journey, recollecting memories of his experience. Video credit: Anzac Memorial
