25.01.2022 DIGGERS SHIELD Despite weather forecast not being favourable the Diggers Shield Carnival proceeded. A great attendance of 90 people was fantastic considering the weather threat. Another successful carnival with our guest clubs contribution. Special thanks to our members who worked tirelessly to support the night with Eric providing another great BBQ and Steve supplying Mushy Peas. We had one heavy shower during the first race but the rain largely held off for us. Congratulat...ions to Margaret McKeon from Kurranulla who won the 50M event(closest to nominated time). The Diggers Shield Relay was won by the Cronulla RSL A team who narrowly won a closely contested event. Thanks to all our members and visitors who made this another successful event. See more

Winner were Deborah Jenkins(Female) and Phil Short(Male). The weekly feature event was the 50M Freestyle sponsored by Dave Dopson. Winners were Elizabeth Whitcombe(Female) and Gordon Williams(Male). 20.01.2022 Swim Cancellation The swim program for 19th Jan has been cancelled due to the polluted state of the bay and continuing rainfall.

20.01.2022 Summer Swim Program suspended. Regretfully the club has decided to suspend the swim program for the rest of the Summer season. It includes Greys and Thursday night swims. This decision was taken after extensive discussion assessing potential risk to our members and their families with the rapidly escalating Covid-19 virus. People are welcome to visit the club facilities to indulge in social swim activities at their own discretion. There will be understandable disappointment with this but it was felt the correct option with the information available.

20.01.2022 8th March Unfortunately a burst of heavy showers at an inconvenient time resulted in the swimming program for the day being cancelled. The 50/100M Freestyle Championship will be rescheduled, but no date confirmed at his stage. Family Day is on next Sunday where you can invite members of your family down for a swim with the club as long as they can swim 50M freestyle. Whilst there was no swimming, we were still able to help Lesley celebrate her birthday - Many happy returns Le...sley. Sea Horses are the duty team next week. See more
