23.01.2022 Wow! Amazing! World renowned Chef Matt Moran visited Crookwell to see for himself how The Gourmet Potato Kadwell's award winning potatoes are grown! Matt treat...ed the @thegourmetpotato team to an incredible meal at the end of his visit - totally jealous. And what a splendid setting! Local legend and potato royalty, Garry Kadwell, is pictured here with Matt in the stunning @hillcresthousebinda kitchen - a lovingly restored country manor redefining the luxury country getaway. #Regram @chefmattmoran Verified I had a spudtacular time with @twoprovidores @knowyourproduceraustralia @thegourmetpotato and @kadwellpotato It was great to see the farm and cook our farmers a feast! #LoveNSW #newsouthwales #lovenswfromhome #holidayherethisyear #buyfromthebush #spendwiththem #buyregional #visitupperlachlan #visittaralga #visitlaggan #visitcrookwell #visitcollector #visitgunning #visitbinda #destinationnsw #visitnsw #weekendgetaways #escapetothecountry #cbrregion #countrylife #southerntablelands #roadtrip #knowyourfarmer #knowyourfood #aussiefarmers #farmerwantsaspud #supprtyourfarmers #aussielegends

19.01.2022 Good news, the 2021 Crookwell Potato Festival will be going ahead but not as we know it!. We are working on a range of smaller events during April with the aim of celebrating local agriculture and the potato industry in particular. We will have a strong focus on providing activities for the kids during the school holidays and will post details as soon as the mini-events are locked in. We are still planning on having a great time but in a manageable, COVID Safe way, that works within the restrictions and protects our local community.

09.01.2022 Each year the Crookwell Potato Festival gives creative school age youngsters the chance to display their artistic talents in the fiercely contested Decorated Potato Competition. You’ll be thrilled to know that we are continuing this proud tradition in 2020, but as an online version. To enter, contestants will need to take a photograph of their decorated potato (or potatoes) and upload it to Instagram. Full details of exactly how to enter, the terms and conditions and the fabulous prizes on offer will be available soon. Meantime, we encourage all aspiring young potato artists to get those creative juices flowing and start coming up with some ideas for decorated potatoes! Here are some pictures of entries from previous festivals for inspiration.
