The pack consists of a lovely 2017 Rose' paired with a beautiful 2017 Merlot. The Hersey Vineyard was planted by the first qualified female winemaker in Australia in the early 1990s. Due to the custodians’ increasing age the vineyard was abandoned for many years until the Hersey family purchased the property in 2012. The He...rsey family reinvigorated the vineyard and the first crop was picked in 2014. Their wines are created with high drink-ability in mind! Thank you for your donation!!! 09.01.2022 ******UPDATE****** Thank you to all the members and clubs for responding to our call RE: the SA Zone Presentation. The results of our request to the SA clubs are as follows: 4 Clubs voted NO, 1 Club returned inconclusive and 1 no reply. ... As the majority voted that having completed 50% of the SA Zone drafts is NOT a sufficient representation of all competitors within the SA Zone, no presentation will be going ahead. Once again we would like to thank everyone for their input and feedback :) We hope everyone is happy and well and extend these wishes to our Victorian friends during these unsure times! Kind regards, Tas and Rudi McEwin on behalf of Strathalbyn Campdraft Club Inc. ***Consideration Needed*** RE: SA Zone Presentation for the 2019-2020 Season. As you may have been aware, the 2019-2020 SA Zone presentation was to be hosted by the Strathalbyn Campdraft Club. As previously advised by us, and in consultation with our zone sporting director, the presentation even was cancelled (FB post 18th March) until further notice. Moving forward we would like the input of all SA clubs/members regarding how we proceed. We have been in touch with the SCA and currently no zones are planning presentations, in fact two zones have advised they will not be holding presentations for the 2019-20 season. These zones felt that not enough drafts were completed to represent their zone members fairly. The SCA presentation/AGM is currently just a thought with no definite plans in motion. We asked the SCA if the points from the 2019-20 can be carried forward to the 2020-21 season and the answer is no. Financial Situation:- Currently the SA Zone has no funds to hold any form of presentation. Invoices to the club were not sent due to the unusual situation we find ourselves in. Three of the 6 clubs in the SA zone have run their drafts. If these 3 clubs were prepared to fulfill their invoices we would have a small pot to hold some form of presentation. Question:- Is having completed 50% of the SA zone drafts sufficient representation of all competitors in the SA zone? If sufficient funds are available what are the options? 1/ venues cannot comply with social distancing requirements, ruling out a dinner presentation at a hired venue. 2/ Presentations can be awarded via post. First place prizes and ribbons. 3/Have/hold the presentation at an SA zone draft after the events/dinner on Saturday Evening. We request the presidents and secretaries of the 6 SA zone clubs reply via email to [email protected] (preferably after consultation with committee/members). 04.01.2022 The Strathalbyn Campdraft Club wishes to advise, as the hosting club this year, that the SA Zone Presentation evening will be cancelled for this drafting season until further notice. This is due to recent developments around COVID-19 and follows the NCCA and SCA announcements to suspend the campdrafting season. This decision was made in conjunction with the SA Zone director and we will advise of any changes as they arise! We thank all members and SA clubs for their understanding. Stay safe everyone!
