25.01.2022 #Reminder until midnight Monday night you need a permit to enter or re-enter SA. If you live outside the Cross Border Community 70km corridor you will also need a valid permit to enter (or re-enter) Victoria. Whilst the Victorian checkpoints have been packed up, spot checks will be conducted in Victoria. Please ensure you are familiar with the requirements of both States. ... South Australian and Victorian authorities have confirmed they aim to open borders on 1 December. We do not have updated details on how either State is managing the border from 1/12, other than SA will require travel registration. We will update the page as details are released. We remind SA CBCM permit holders that you do not need to apply for a Victorian permit, but are limited to the 70km corridor using your SAPOL CBCM permit. Nothing has changed in that regard, other than VicPol will now be able to conduct spot checks to ensure compliance. We recommend you seek legal advice as soon as possible if you are caught failing to comply with any of the SA or Victorian Directions.

24.01.2022 Border restrictions are easing, but we all know how quickly things can change, so we want something in place for the future. Over the past 8 months some families have received one-time exemptions, including a quarantine requirement. Other families have received exemptions that enable multiple trips to collect their children from boarding school. Some have been outright declined. Georgie McKay has worked tirelessly on this, and has submitted a framework for the consideration... of the SA Covid Transition Committee: We seek that the SA Government and Transition/Exemptions committee contribute to and be a party to a national approach for all boarders who travel interstate for their education. There has been no response and as yet there has been no commitment to a framework for the future.

05.01.2022 More border openings making news today!

04.01.2022 Hi Folks - we have been working hard today to get answers, links, clarification of the new VIC/SA border situation, going forward. Please bear with us while we get our facts right (as much as we can possibly do). Also please don't forget - we are just a bunch of 4 volunteers who have tried to decipher the constant border changes, and keep you guys informed. At times we are as confused as you are :) Hoping to post out something to clear things up tonight, which will be all valid as of midnight. We are batting for you all - please remember that.
