Think about how hard a 65kg sandbag clean is, then imagine you are in a pitch-black house where you cannot see 10cm in front of your face, you have 20kg worth of kit on, you are dragging a hose, trying to communicate via radio and also have an axe, now add-in heat, extreme heat that you have never felt before, the kind of heat that could melt a torch and that would instantly kill you if it weren't for your PPE, now in this house you have never been in b...efore there are reports of a person missing and your job is to find them and get them out before the fire consumes everything... A 65kg sandbag feels light compared to an unconscious body. So what's the moral of the story? Thank your local firies who will risk it all to get you out of a burning building but more importantly check your smoke detectors because the situation above is one you don't want to be in and they really will save your life... 06.01.2022 You might be out of breath, your mind will give you excuses, "slow down", "you have done enough", "just cruise the row".... Your body will aid in the mind's deception, my legs are burning, ease of so it hurts a little less... BUT you know the truth, you know you only did the first 3 rounds to get to this point where it hurts and where you become better and stronger, lean into the pain as that's where the good stuff hides.... @petertuiavii

03.01.2022 As coaches, we are often expected to be a little bulletproof and not fall prey to the stresses and demands of real life. Our job is to educate, inspire and entertain, class after class and day after day, sometimes it gets tough just as it does for you guys training hard every day and getting to the gym amongst being a parent, a professional, and career-driven individual, sometimes it would be easier to stay home and have a Corona (not the virus, a beer). But character is not ...built when things are going well, when times are easy and everything is going to plan. On the contrary, character is built when you struggle and fight through, when you persist through something tough and come out the other side having learnt and grown. @forgedfit was doing it tough a few months ago, Coronavirus plus personal life was piling up but too his massive credit he ground it out, he sorted his sleep, his nutrition and training and when we last checked in was down 7kg+ and looking like the Clay we know and love. Our team are not bulletproof but we will persist and we will ask of ourselves what we ask of you. Show up, put in the work and grow as a result, we don't give up and we don't expect magic fixes or cures overnight....
