20.01.2022 By definition, functional exercises call for an essential bit of human capacity. Due to strength or injury, often a particular exercise is not immediately possible. In nearly every case what we do is find a method to reduce the load to insignificant levels while preserving precisely the line of action or substitute movements of similar lines of action that will prepare for the missing capacity. Any weightlifting exercise can be done with a broomstick or PVC pipe. Every bodyweight exercise can be substituted with gateway movements. The CrossFit approach is to embrace, study, practice, and train for functional mastery. CrossFitters at every level are on the same path - moving from functional competence to functional dominance.

07.01.2022 There are many characteristics of functional movements that CrossFit athletes and trainers can use to discern functional from non-functional movements. For example, we say functional movements are natural, meaning they are not movement patterns used only at the gym. Rather, these movements are found everywhere in human behavior and arise spontaneously as a response to life. For example, getting up out of a chair requires an air squat; picking up groceries from the floor, a deadlift; getting a five-gallon water jug onto a table, a clean; placing items on a high shelf, a shoulder press.

06.01.2022 SATURDAY EVENT 3 Shifting Tin 3.0 Teams can choose the order of completion, however barbells and plates must be stacked while making handstand attempts.... Each hang power clean attempt must begin at full extension, the catch must be above parallel, then stood to full extension. You are allowed as many attempts at both movements as you like. Clock will count down from 12 minutes to 0. A final attempt at a hand stand will count as long as the hands are on the floor before 0. A final hang power clean will count as long as the barbell is deadlifted before 0. Judges will start a timer as the hands touch the ground for each attempt. Your handstands are in a 2m x 2m box, if any part of the hand goes outside the box, time stops but the attempt counts. Each second on your hands counts to add an extra kg to your hang power clean. Highest score for each athlete is counted. Example Dave gets 100 kg HPC and 30 seconds of handstand his score is 130 Smithy gets 100kg hang power clean and 20 seconds of handstand, his score is 120 Total team score is 250. Scaled Workout as prescribed. Tier 2 1RM Hang Power Clean and max Hanging Knee raise hold. Knees must be above hip crease.
