14.01.2022 During this global crisis it is important that we don’t forget our vulnerable populations. These include asylum seekers held in detention centres and those fleeing persecution in a time of border shutdown and travel bans. The Australian Government’s own advisory has recognised that ‘people in detention facilities’ are most at risk of serious COVID-19 infections. So how can you help? This Sunday April 5th, join us in showing support for asylum seekers across the world through the AMSA Crossing Borders Virtual Palm Sunday Rally. https://facebook.com/events/s/amsa-crossing-borders-virtual-/636033960296914/?ti=icl

06.01.2022 The Tamil family have been through a lot over the last few years and now they have been separated after Priya was flown to a Perth hospital for urgent medical treatment. Priya has been in pain for weeks and was only recently moved from Christmas Island, where there are inadequate facilities to manage serious medical conditions. To make matters worse, Priya is all alone, having been separated from her family and unable to even video call her daughters. The family was taken ...to a Melbourne detention centre in March 2018, and have been detained on Christmas Island since August last year. What can you do to help?
