23.01.2022 This is the face of a meltdown mumma. A mum at her wits end. Why am I sharing this? Because while I'm great at what I do, I think it's really important for you to know that life is never all easy for anyone and when you come to me with your challenges I feel you! We all have our challenges, and nothing you come to me with is too big or small. So my 8 year old is really struggling with motivation to get ready for school at the moment. Every morning she digs her heels in, ref...using to get out of bed, or get dressed, or wear socks or whatever it is she decides is the thing that she just can't do today. Every day she ends up making her siblings anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour late. I've tried reasoning, reward, calm loving guidance and even anger. I've tried every tool in my parenting toolbox. I've spoken to her school, her teacher, all things point to get being happy at school, she's just this persistent, immovable object in the mornings. It's exhausting, heartbreaking and makes me question my ability as a parent. It's the one thing we often so want to get 'right'. We want to be better, do better, and it doesn't always look like we hope. So cue the tears. My tears. My I don't know what to do I've tried everything tears. And you know what - I feel better! I feel clearer. I feel ready to support her in whatever it is she's going through and ready to step up as a parent and guide her through this as is my key role. So my point is that we all have tough times, we all crumble once in a while and sometimes allowing ourselves to fall apart for just a moment can be the best thing we can do. Emotion is energy in motion, and when we stuff it inside all it does is create suffering and dis-ease. There is always going to be things that push us, that we have little control over, and all we can do is do the best we can and keep moving forward

08.01.2022 It's been a busy few days here at Crossroads since I called in to the radio on Friday! I had a meeting which could potentially lead to Scott and I running hypnosis training weekends in Perth which will grow our business exponentially (watch this space!) I then spent the weekend working with some truly inspirational clients who are just so ready to take responsibility for their lives and really do the hard work to get the life they dream of ... I wrapped up the weekend recording a free 'Find exercise enjoyable' hypnosis for the Hit breakfast show listeners (a short, generic version of what I was taking the host through). 01.01.2022 I had such a wonderful few weeks of clients, it's been so diverse! I've seen people for confidence, weight, mental health, anxiety, phobias as well as couples coaching, DNA healing, and even children! I've started planning a couples workshop with some other amazing therapists and a solstice festival based at the Railway health hub where my office is, and been working towards getting the new wonder device the Healy into my services. ... I even got to catch up with a former client who wanted to tell me in person how much her life has changed for the better since she saw me! The best thing is, that in between all of that I still had time for self care, family, and rest. Last year when I was working a part time job while I built up my business in my spare time I never could have dreamed how amazing life could be! It's such a privilege to be able to serve my community and at the same time build a thriving business out of it so that I can serve even more people. 01.01.2022 I had the privilege of joining a panel of local small business owners yesterday, where we answered questions about our passions, hurdles, and how we navigated entrepreneurship. Owning a small business is fraught with challenges, especially if you're not naturally business minded. It was great to hear what all the other panel members had to say about their journeys, and how they got to where they are, and it was a great opportunity for me to sit back and think about why I'm do...ing this, and why it's been worth all the risk, stress, and worry to open my doors and keep them open. I have to say, the thought of quitting doesn't come up often for me, I've wanted to help people for a long as I can remember and every day I walk into my office is a dream come true, but the reminder of why I do what I do is so encouraging. And where I'm going! So here is my reminder to you. Don't give up. Keep the dream. Keep chipping away. If you're afraid to start - jump! 5 years ago I was in a dead end job, miserable, hating life and myself. I saw no way forward. Today I'm living the life I always dreamed of - (short of a few material things like a new kitchen and a housekeeper ) and even the days that aren't so good (see yesterday's post) are rich and rewarding and full of potential
