At Crows Nest Community Arts & Crafts Shop, we have a showroom known as ‘The Basement’.... Our Arts & Crafts Shop and The Basement are open every day (excluding Christmas Day , Good Friday) and we attract good customer and visitor numbers. 20.01.2022 # NANCY PARKER Nancy is our Showcase Display person for the latter part of February 2021. Nancy is an amazing lady. She not only has a top display in our shop of everything and anything you can ever imagine, she also runs and organises UNIFORMS 4 KIDS in Crows Nest. The latter is almost a full time job! Nancy and the group of ladies who help her, receive uniforms from the Emergency Services, Police, Ambulance, Firies etc. They then turn these items into clothing for children ...who don’t have much. The items of clothing that they turn out are just beautiful. Nancy’s own display contains more of her wonderful sewing. Not a tourist passes through our town without buying one of her Crows Nest Tea Towels. They are unique! She also has scarves, handbags, oven mitts, pot holders, tea cosies, baby items and jewellery. Don’t forget her hand made cards. You will be bound to find a treasure while you are browsing Nancy’s display. There are adorable little gnome houses made with gourds, unusual mosaic pots and coaster. For the little ones, knitted bootees, owl toys and toddler cardigans. 14.01.2022 # BEV KRUGER Bev is our Showcase Display person for the first half of March 2021. I think everyone in the Crows Nest area and surrounds will know of Bev and her fantastic array of sewing pieces. There are gorgeous toys, crocheted baby blankets, heat bags, scarves, hand bags, crocheted slippers for the upcoming winter and I think the most famous of all is her Mugs in Bags. They are very special with a matching mug to the bag.... Bev has been sewing for many years and her ideas are endless. In her spare time and with Nancy Parker they use up scrap material to sew the bags we use in the shop for our client purchases. Bev is always busy and she is also the long standing President on the Committee of our beautiful shop. You will definitely find a treasure while you are browsing Bev’s amazing display. While in our shop, take time to browse all our displays by our very talented local Art and Craft people, there is something for everyone.
