17.01.2022 Feeling broken today after hearing Dan Andrews announcement yesterday that gyms are anticipated to open at the end of November providing our Covid numbers are 5 and below for 14 consecutive days. Also hearing Sutton saying gyms will be the last to open because he says gyms are known as a high risk setting that cause outbreaks. But The Fitness Australia data from the first 8 weeks reopening in NSW says the complete opposite. 7 million visits... 545 venues 0 community transmissions. The 5 cases in the news at the moment are still yet to be confirmed as community transmission . So my question is: Use Sutton’s theory that is incorrect or use evidence that is proven? I feel for all the gym owners out there and small businesses this is so disheartening Please stop playing politics with our livelihoods and let me open my business! See more
16.01.2022 Just abit of covid blues setting in today Its pretty sad to think that today is exactly 5 months that our gym operated successfully and 5 months that it’s doors have been closed. Thinking back to this time last year how we worked so tirelessly with early mornings , late nights , plenty Blue Marlin Fish N Chips dinners and not to mention the people who helped us they know who they are to revamp 25a commercial rd to what it is today, and oh boy what a job that was but wo...rth every little bit ! To all of you well done we are getting through this nightmare, just keep motivated stay productive and proactive and we will beat this . Cardio does burn more calories during the session, but it won’t build muscle and you don’t keep burning calories once your d...one, and if done in excess over long periods of time,it can decrease muscle and lower hormone levels . Eventually your body adapts to it and burns fewer calories than when you first started. Although the amount of calories you burn by carrying more muscle has been way over blown,, every little bit does helps so you’ll keep burning some calories in the hours after a weight training workout . But you’ll burn the most calories from your non exercises activity. Think standing not sitting , going for walks etc.... people blame a slow metabolism on their weight gain when in reality they’re just not moving as much. We did it!!! I bet none of you are going to take a gym session for granted anymore . Can’t wait to fill our sense of normality again. 03.01.2022 Recent Fitness Australia research found there were more than 7.31 million check-ins across 546 gyms in the first eight weeks after they reopened in NSW on 13 J...une. During that same period there had been zero cases of reported community transmission in a gym, Mr Elvish said. Fitness Australia has worked extensively with the industry and health officials across Australia to develop a COVID-Safe Plan for the reopening of gyms. We successfully implemented this with the Queensland Government, which allowed people to safely return to the gym earlier than originally planned, Mr Elvish said. We are urging the Victorian Government to work with Fitness Australia to promote the overall health and safety of the community, not just when it comes to protecting them during a pandemic, by developing a COVID-Safe Plan that will allow the industry to reopen in Stage 3. 01.01.2022 Yes!!! We have missed you all so much and are very excited that finally the churches of iron are about to open. It's felt like forever , but our time has come to rise up and create our new norm! Take our first step, complete our first rep, but we do ask that you all be patient with us as we enter uncharted waters . We are taking extreme precautions to ensure the health and safety of each individual. It is imperative that you our members feel safe... Here is some information/guidelines you'll need to follow. We have hand sanitizers/wipes throughout the gym for you to use upon entering the gym and cleaning your equipment before use. You must bring your own towel if you fail to do so you will be denied entry. Drinking fountain will be out of use while restrictions are in place, therefore you will need to bring your own water. Our showers will be temporary out of use. We have a limit of 20 members at one time in the gym,no bookings first come first serve and will be restricting your training time to 1hr limit, if it's quiet and you wish more time just ask a staff member. take note that our busiest times are between 4 pm and 7 pm . We ask that you refrain from coming to the gym if you are unwell or we will have to ask you to leave.
