24.01.2022 **********Post from Greater South West Junior Football League******** Wednesday 29th July 2020 The Greater South West Junior Football League Executive have met to discuss the matters surrounding our entire football community in regard to the impacts around Covid 19 as they emerge in our communities. ... We would like to inform our Clubs, players, volunteers and supporters that in order to keep moving forward in a safe manner we are proposing the Southern Clubs of Heathmere, Heywood, Tyrendarra and Portland Tigers suspend their training for the remainder of the week and postpone this weekend’s games due to be played on the August 2nd. We will look to return to training and playing on a revised format as of Tuesday 4th of August - information will be filtered to club presidents and committees. The Clubs of Casterton, Coleraine, Penshurst Cavendish and Hamilton Kangaroos will play a northern based draw to allow the commencement of football in this region for the present time. The GSWJFL Executive will reassess the situation on Tuesday the 4th of August 7pm whereby a media release will be issued outlining the movement forward. A return to play will involve a revised draw. It is our priority to keep everyone safe, however we also understand the impact sport has on juniors and we will endeavour to keep moving forward while maintaining strict protocols. See more

16.01.2022 What an announcement from Premier Dan Andrews today. Bring on junior football and netball in season 2021 Announcement: Now more than ever, Victorian kids deserve the chance to get outside and be active.... Back with their friends and teammates back on the pitch, the courts, and the cricket nets. But new boots and rego fees aren't cheap and for some families, the cost means that kids miss out altogether. We don't think that's fair. Which is why we're doing this: For the first time ever, up to 100,000 Victorian kids will be given $200 sports vouchers to help cover the cost of getting involved. New bats, balls, uniforms, memberships and sign-up fees can be paid for and the vouchers will be available next year in time for community sport to get going again. I know this might seem like a simple announcement but it'll go a long way towards making sure every Victorian child has the opportunity to follow their passion, do their best and have fun. It'll mean that the next Don Bradman or Tayla Harris doesn't miss out simply because their family can't afford the fees. And it makes things that little bit fairer too.

13.01.2022 It is with great sadness that our trainer, Noel 'Fleagle' McDonald shares news that 'The Green Machine' headed off to her final resting place today. The regular, away-game transport of dozens of Cats in the 1980s, the lime-green van holds many great memories for the family and has lived out her twilight years, parked in the lush pastures at Racecourse Rd. The old girl will not be completely lost though: Her parts will be salvaged so that other Bedfords may drive another day.
13.01.2022 Happy birthday to our bar manager Anne Michau. Hoping you’re having a great day

11.01.2022 The CSFNC Present and past Players along with all associated with the Club are deeply saddened on the passing of our past player in Angus Cleary. Gus was a fantastic team mate and who was always highly respected due to how he got the best out of himself and everyone else at every game and training nights. Gus was a person you could count on both on and off the ground and a real good young person who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Condolences to Linda and Zack... and the Kellett and Cleary families. Rest In Peace Gus. The CSFNC players and committee will be forming a Guard of Honour at Gus' funeral on Wednesday 6th January, 2021. Any members, supporters and sponsors please feel free to join us in your Cats apparel where we will meet at 2.10pm at the Casterton Cemetery gates and walk as one to the Lawn Cemetery.
