This is a fantastic opportunity for the kids to acquire the skills to keep them safe on the trails, enjoy their riding even more, and make a whole bunch of like minded friends. 15.01.2022 What a great team photo from the the weekend at Rats Summer Sprints Round 1. The Coot-tha corner was on fire. Thanks to RATS Cycling Club for the event and Element Photography (Link won't work sorry) for the lovely photos of the team. First lesson of the year this coming weekend, lets have some fun.

14.01.2022 Every now and then we get asked the question "Could you please move my child up ?" Lets give you a small insight into the thought processes involved. Please share this with your children too. Firstly, I want you to understand that mountain biking is a complex sport. It brings together intense physical fitness, complex decision making, technical skills and a great deal of intuition and a little bit of bravery and fortitude for good measure. We all know that as young childre...n, we all lacked many of these qualities, as do our children. What we aim to achieve, is to develop each one of those skills, through the regular contact we have with your kids. By rushing them through, you miss the opportunity to develop and master these skills in a timely manner; compromising their safety. They may have the skill but not be ready due to maturity, their physical strength or decision making skills (they make the wrong safety choices). The coaches and parent helpers at CKMTB are dedicated to reviewing the progress of each individual and trying to develop the puzzle pieces missing before they move into their next phase. This is a sport that we hope they will carry through to adulthood, something the can travel with, share with friends and use as an outlet for stress. It's an opportunity to connect with nature. 10.01.2022 Awesome ride today with the death adders. We rode with Lada for a while and then split off to go check out wiry panic (I prefer the old name Stonehenge). That was a huge climb to get to the top, but the kids all dug deep and hung in there with very little complaining. It was worth the climb of course, one of my favourite trails. I hope they will all sleep well tonight, I know I will! It was a pleasure to see how far the new death adders have come since I last rode with them, I'm very impressed.

05.01.2022 Were so proud of Coach Allegra. Not only is she an awesome rider, but she has a heart of gold. This weekend shes been riding in the Snowies, raising money for The Fly program, supporting mental health. She spends her Sundays coaching our kids for the love of watching them develop and grow. She was there cheering us all on at the Summer Sprints, so its our turn to cheer her on...... Goooooo Allegra!
