21.01.2022 Mudgee Field Days 2020 Cancellation Due to the evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation and the Government Order under the Public Health Act to ban mass gather...ings, we regret to announce that the 2020 Mudgee Small Farm Field Days has been cancelled. Chairman of the Australian Rural Education Centre, James Sullivan, said This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but our priority is the health and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and volunteers. It is extremely disappointing to cancel the 2020 event and we understand everyone is facing a very challenging period. The cancellation will affect a number of local businesses, as the event brings millions of dollars into the Mudgee economy. This is the first time in our 43 year history that we have had to cancel an event and the financial impact on our small, not-for-profit charity will also be significant as we derive approximately 90% of our income from the field days. We will be working with exhibitors to transfer their fees to the 2021 event. This will help us greatly to ensure our ongoing viability. We will be in contact with all stakeholders in the coming days. We will be back stronger than ever next year and hope to see you on 2 + 3 July 2021.

20.01.2022 Yay, finally some rain in Mudgee

20.01.2022 During big events or when a breakdown occurred it really put our hot water supply under pressure, whilst we still fully support level 2 water restrictions we found the need to double our hot water capacity using a manifold system, this allows us to supply and divert hot water as required throughout the rooms, big thank you to Cobe from Player Plumbing and gas and Col from Midwestern electrical for making it happen

Our next public running day at the Mudgee Miniature Railway will be on Sunday 13th December 2020. All tickets must be pre-booked & pre-paid and are available to book now. Tickets are $10 per person whether riding the train or not. There are six 30 minute running sessions available with a maximum of 10 people per session. Attendance is limited to residents of the Mid Western Regional Council, Warrumbungle Shire Council, Bathurst Regional Council & Dubbo Regional Council areas only ( NO EXCEPTIONS ). 12.01.2022 As of today the signage has been erected to designate smoking areas on the property. Outside the rooms/ verandah is now no smoking as well as the pool area (always has been), we have very generous grassed areas and two undercover areas with great outlooks for the smokers to still enjoy their time whilst keeping our rooms smelling smoke free.

02.01.2022 Whilst Covid has not been kind to anyone. We took it as an opportune time to get a bit done. We sat and made a plan and budget that would see us ready when restrictions eased. So we had Dead trees removed by Mudgee Tree Services , rooms painted to get rid of the old baby blue by Mudgee Home Decor, and yesterday we are proud to have taken delivery of the last 10 beds 1 king, 3 queen, 3 long singles and 3 king singles all direct from Sealy Australia, this completes the overhaul of our entire bedding inventory in all 16 rooms In the last 12 months.
