23.01.2022 Last month Cudgen Brigade members were presented with the Premiers Citation for their efforts during the 2019/2020 Bushfires. Cudgen members were on the front line for many months working to protect NSW communities across the state. Well done and congratulations.

22.01.2022 TOTAL FIRE BAN HAS BEEN DECLARED FOR TOMORROW Monday 23/11/2020 For the Tweed, Ballina, Byron Shires and entire Far North Coast. REPORT FIRES TO 000.... Total Fire Ban rules A total fire ban means no fires out in the open. A total fire ban helps limit the potential of fires developing. During a Total Fire Ban you cannot light, maintain or use a fire in the open, or to carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire. General purpose hot works (such as welding, grinding or gas cutting or any activity that produces a spark or flame) are not to be done in the open. - All fire permits suspended.

22.01.2022 A total fire ban has been issued for 9 districts including the Far North Coast from Midnight tonight Saturday 28.11.20 until Midnight tomorrow Sunday 29.11.20. with a Fire Danger Rating of Severe. Far North Coast includes council areas of Tweed, Ballina, Byron, Clarence Valley, Kyogle, Lismore and Richmond Valley. All permits remain suspended.

20.01.2022 Due to the predicted Very High Fire danger rating for Saturday 28.11.2020, all fire permits will be suspended for 24 hours from midnight tonight.

15.01.2022 Cudgen Rural Fire Brigade and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 347 Kingscliff are on scene at Cudgen Headland extinguishing a bushfire. The fire is under control and poses no threat.

11.01.2022 One of Cudgen Brigades members is down in Grafton as part of a Rapid Aerial Response Team in case of any fire outbreaks.
