The NSW Rural Fire Service’s Fires Near Me app and the NSW Rural Fire Service Website have recently been updated with new symbols to align with the Australian Warning System which was recommended to be implemented as a priority by various Inquiries and Commissions from the 2019/2020 bushfire season. The introduced changes are new icons and colour coding for incidents depending on the warning level. ... Advice: Advice fires were blue and are now YELLOW Watch and Act Fires at the Watch and Act alert level were yellow and are now ORANGE Emergency: Fires at an emergency warning were red, and will continue to be displayed as RED. The meaning of each alert level remains unchanged; it is simply the way the symbols are displayed that has changed. 19.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the ever changing nature of the COVID 19 situation, the brigades annual Easter Garage Sale has been postponed. The event will still go ahead some time in the future with a date to be released when things settle down. In the meantime we are not accepting donations but will inform everyone via this page and the local Inletter on when the new date will be. Thank you all for your understanding!

13.01.2022 Notice of RFS training event On Sunday 29th Nov 2020, Sussex Inlet RFB and Cudmirrah Berrara RFB will be conducting a combined training exercise attending a ‘MOCK’ structure fire in the vicinity of Berrara Road and Lakeland Avenue Berrara. We anticipate the training will commence at approximately 9.30am and conclude by 11.00am. There will be a number of fire appliances attending and we need to assure everyone that all is safe and there is no need for anyone to panic.
