21.01.2022 Morning All. As most are aware of the current state everyone is in with the fires across the state, the fire at Gospers Mountain is approaching us and is expected to reach us this afternoon if the winds are as predicted. We are working around the mill to prepare as best we can for what may be about to come. We are doing our best to return/attend to all calls received yesterday and today, so please bare with us at this time We like to remind everyone to stay safe and if ...you are planning to evacuate, please evacuate as soon as you can. Thank you all all our firefighters, volunteers and all emergency services doing their best to protect and keep everyone safe. See more

20.01.2022 Thank you to the amazing crew for looking after our mill and the greater community!

17.01.2022 Thank you to all those that have messaged, called and emailed with concerns of how we are at Colo Heights. Thank you to all the Rural Fire Services, Emergency Services and Volunteers that have helped assist with the current fires not only within our community but across the state. At the moment the mill is ok, we still do have fires currently burning around us here. But the mill has mostly been covered with pink retardant. Our thoughts are with the Morris family next door to the mill, which they have lost their family home, after losing their mum/wife 3 weeks ago today, sending all our love and strength to the Morris family at this difficult time

15.01.2022 Morning All. We still are working on our landline phones, they will ring - Although still no message bank to leave a message for us. Our internet is down also, from the winds over the weekend, which this stops us logging into our system and emails. Please be patient with us while we work through getting our technical problems sorted. Best to still contact us via mobile on 0428650213.... Happy Monday! See more

14.01.2022 We would like to thank all of our customers for their continued support in these recent yet uncertain times. We hope that everyone is keeping well in these current times with what is happening around the world. We have had quiet a lot of concern shown as to if we are still in operation, people wanting orders cut quickly etc Yes, we are still open and trying to function as normally as possible. We are following current advise given from the government as to what is best for... our employees, customers and business. In recent times we have experienced the impact of the fires, then flooding and we now face this world pandemic. We can assure you that we are doing the best we can to get orders out in the lead times given. At this point there is no need to start panicking for timber, as for now we are still on track with getting your orders to you as quickly as we can. If we feel that there becomes any changes with this, we will notify our customers directly. We will be implementing new structures, which are now effectively in place; PICKUPS - In the instance that you will be collecting timber from us, we ask that you please call ahead to notify us an approximate time that you will be arriving to collect the timber. This way we can notify the guys in the yard as to what timber needs to be loaded, to ensure that we are keeping our staff to minimal contact/interaction where possible. In the instance you cannot reach us via phone, please leave us a message, send us a text message or email us. FIREWOOD - Firewood will still be ok for collection, again you will need to notify us prior to collecting so we can ensure that we have bins available. WANTING TO DISCUSS TIMBER - We ask in this time that you send us an email or contact us via phone. This ensures that we are taking the right advise and measures in protecting our staff with the 4 square meter restrictions that are in place. At the moment email is best for us, as we have had an influx of calls that we are working to get back to. We cannot stress enough that this is not the time to be coming up to talk about timber. Please note that we may decide that it is best for our office to work remotely, so we do ask you to call ahead prior to making any plans to visit our mill. In the instance that our office closes, we will be working remotely to ensure that while our builders, fencers and contractors are off, we can still provide them with quotations of timber that they haven’t yet found the time to do or place through new orders etc. Again calls may be limited but emails will be preferable in this instance. If you hold any concerns or wish to discuss further, please don’t hesitate to contact us in our office on 45650213 or our office mobile on 0428650213 (our land line is currently diverted to our mobile) We again thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to when things get back to ‘normality’. Stay safe & well! Regards, Management & Culoul Sawmills Family

05.01.2022 Morning All. Just want to let everyone know the mill will hopefully be back in full operation within the next couple of days (although possibly not until next week) All roads are still currently blocked up here, so things will be slow until everything starts to clear or be of some containment here in Colo Heights. Our office phone has been a hot line this morning, so please bare with us while we get through everyone’s calls, emails, voice messages & texts. It may take a coup...le of days to catch up, as we have had an abundance of calls and voice messages. Thank you to everyone who has shown concern and have contacted us over the past week! See more

05.01.2022 We shared progress photos almost 3 years ago. But the wait was well worth to see the completed finish. Here is the beautifully finished custom designed timber frames from Traditional Timber Frames - Chris Nance. What an effect the curvature slabs give!

03.01.2022 Morning All. Our mobile and landlines are currently down due to the blackout we have. Unfortunately, we have no confirmation on when they will be back running again due to current road closures with the floods (Telstra and Endeavour aren’t able to access our area due to flooded bridges and roads) At the moment it appears that we still have email communication as we are on satellite, although it is quiet slow. We understand a lot of people have been waiting on return calls a...nd emails since last week, we are doing our best to try and respond. Please keep an eye out for an email from us or an iMessage (as these are going through also) or please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email. We apologies for any inconveniences and do thank you once again for your patience. P.s Here’s a photo of how lovely the new regrowth is, from the recent bush fires we had in November/December. We’ve gone from one extreme to another but grateful for the much needed rain

03.01.2022 We supplied these beautiful 6 Grey Gum decking boards - 130x19 pencil round finish. It’s a rarity that we have 6 Grey Gum decking boards available but no sooner this is generally the result!

03.01.2022 ATTENTION to anyone who has tried to contact us today via our office landline and mobile: There is an exchange fault/outage in Kurrajong which is effecting us in Colo Heights. Telstra have notified us and the issue isn’t expected to be complete before 7pm on Thursday.. Please try contact us via our office mobile until then on 0428650213 or better yet email [email protected] Sorry for any inconveniences to anyone that has tried to contact us this morning!

01.01.2022 Our office landline is down again, please contact us via our office mobile on 0428650218. If anyone has left a message on our answering machine since Thursday afternoon - Please contact us again on the mobile. Please note that the landline phone will still ring, although it will ring out, so best to call the mobile. Sorry for any inconvenience
