08.01.2022 As per Government regulations, Curl Curl FC would like to remind people who have travelled to Victoria within the last 14 days that you must self-isolate on return to NSW. This means that you must not attend training or games for 14 days from the last time you were in Victoria. For more information see the NSW Health Guidelines It was fabulous seeing all the teams out playing last weekend and during the week. To ensure we are fully compliant with the government restrictions... the club would like to remind everyone of the following: Only players, coaches and officials stand on the side of the technical area. Spectators must stand on the opposite side of the pitch to the technical area. Maps are displayed on A-frame boards at the grounds. Spectators must remain 1.5m apart No sharing of oranges or lollies No sharing of bibs or goalie shirts. If you have a bib allocated it should be used only by you and taken home to wash. Goalies can wear a bib or identifying top instead of the GK jersey. Mobile Sanitiser stands are located around the grounds. Please use them. Thanks for your assistance in keeping us all safe and out on the pitch.

06.01.2022 Two of our young players, Avalon and Kaia, have taken on the challenge of completing 10,000 steps a day, for the month of Steptember to raise vital funds for Cerebral Palsy Alliance. Cerebral palsy is the most common physical disability in childhood. One in two people with cerebral palsy are in chronic pain due to the tightening of their muscles. Many will never be able to take a single step without assistance. If you are able to spare a few bucks, it would be very much appre...ciated by the girls and more importantly, the families and friends coping with the daily challenges Cerebral Palsy presents. Avalon and Kaias goal is to raise $1,000 this Steptember. They have come close to this target for the past couple of years, but never quite reached it. You can donate to their fundraising page: https://www.steptember.org.au/fundraisers/avalonandkaialee Any amount you contribute would make a huge difference to children and adults living with cerebral palsy and encourage Avy and Kaia to complete their 10,000 steps a day!

06.01.2022 To clear up the confusion, here are the rules around the end of the season: On the weekend of October 3rd/4th, the 2020 season will finish with all teams taking part in a Final Round, whereby teams will play a final match based on their standings during the Regular Season. ... 1) The matches will be organised based on the principle of 1v2, 3v4, 5v6, 7v8, 9v10 and 11v12, depending on the number of teams in each competition. The final competition table will be determined by the number of points won. If teams in any specific competition have played an uneven number of the games, the final competition table will be determined by points won per match (i.e. Points accumulated divided by matches played). 2) The winners of the 1v2 ("Grand Final") match in each competition will be declared Knockout winners 3) The 1v2 matches in the Final Round are the only games that will be decided by extra time and penalty kicks. iv. All other matches in the Final Round that end in a draw will not go to extra time or penalty kicks. Good luck to all the teams in these final weeks of the season!

Please share any photos or videos of your team playing this final weekend, no matter which place you are competing for. Just tag this Curly FB page or send them to [email protected]

03.01.2022 It was great to get the first weekend out of the way and for everyone to have a run. Thanks to the teams that set up and more importantly packed up the fields, it was done really well. Please remind the teams playing last on Tuesday and Thursday to do the same thing. One thing to remember, please remember social distancing rules AND for the senior and junior teams, please use the technical areas. Its really important to help us all stay safe and continue playing football.... For under sevens and sixes, the technical areas are on the inside of the pitches, Please encourage parents and spectators to stand on the outside of the pitches. For under eights and nines, the technical area is on the Abbott Road side of the pitch, parents stand on the lagoon side or at the end of the pitches. For under 10s and 11s, the technical area is marked out on the lagoon side of J10. Please have parents stand behind the rope of J10 on the side of the pitch nearest Abbott Road. There were a few games where parents were standing inside the rope (go figure!). For AR 4 and AR 5 the technical areas are on the lagoon side, spectators are to stand behind the rope on the Abbott Road side For Adams St the technical area is on the houses / southern side of the pitch, spectators are to stand behind the rope on the lagoon side of the pitch.

03.01.2022 You will no doubt have received a letter from MWFA about the most recent changes to community sport. The main message is we need to take this more seriously. - Spectators only 1 parent at junior games and none at senior games. The main problem areas have been U18/1, AL1 and PL. Please can these teams be especially vigilant in reducing spectator numbers.... - Do not socialise before or after a game get ready at home, arrive and play and then leave. - Do not attend a game as player, official or spectator if you are unwell. - Adhere to social distancing on the side lines. Together we can bring the season to a good end, as long as we keep doing the right things.
